Introducing Exordium!

The risk difference between exordium and high sec is minimal for a new player but the reward difference is significant. So new players should not be spending any time in exordium it seems.

It seems the first or working name for “Manifest” was “Mandate”, which is still visible in the new map safety information sections about Exordium:

So new players are only going to be able to shipcaster out of Exordium once with one or maybe two ships if in a hauler, then if they want to have access to the rest of their ships and modules they will have to make multiple round trips and run the gauntlet through Yulai to get back there. I can taste the tears already…

The four shipcasters…one from each faction exiting exordium only once… was a mechanic announced on day one.

The loophole was that players will endlessly make characters for skipping and avoiding hostile systems. This is yet another issue that FC said they would monitor.

You already know my take on it. Can’t be stopped. And if it even could it would have to be in a way that infringes on everyone else who isn’t taking advantage of the loophole. As with anything else in EVE, it only takes a few people to ruin it for everyone…

Such examples would be only being able to create one character per week, along with only being able to biomass once per week.

I meant in addition to. I don’t see why the options should be:

  1. Leave for FW in low-sec.
  2. Get ganked leaving Exordium for high-sec.

This is just an assumption though, and is soemthing that will be watched by FC. We already know that ganking of new players is low, concentrating them won’t have much of an effect on the amount of new players being ganked. You are seeing gankers there now to catch the AT ships and freighters full of stuff going in, if anything.

Nah, if it is once per toon I guess it won’t be abused that much by veteran haulers. And there is no point camping the exits to kill newbies. I know some players announceds that they will do it, but I don’t think they will, it is just pointless. There is nothing to gain.

That doesn’t concern some gankers in the slightest. They do it because they can and it’s allowed…

Doesn’t matter if they make all 0.9 systems surrounding Exordium safe, at some point you are going to have to venture beyond that bubble and be subject to nonconsensual PvP just like everyone else. Welcome to EVE…

Weeell, there are salt farmers for sure. And out of them how many are there ganking for the tears only? Maybe one? Most of us are trying to be ISK positive. So when we are ganking ventures or shuttles or AP pods we are trying to filter by age or zkill history. Of course there is not always a time or there are cases where you undock to kill this AFK shuttle on Jita gate. And he wakes up right when you land. Previously I would just warp to instadock and dock back to Jita. Now, with the nerf to docking as criminal CCP forced me to gank a random newbie just so the ship I undocked gets value before it is destroyed. But that is on CCP. Not me, when that happens to me I just try to find first AP pod I can and kill it so I can get back to Jita and I don’t check age or zkill anymore.

Generally though, even those ganking AP pods are not targetting new players. Because they don’t want to waste a ~3mil fit on an empty pod that costs nothing. They want to get pod with implants.

Sorry, I meant Uedama. Which you need to transit through to get to Jita.

Meridian? What is that? Yulai is 0.9 not 0.5…

Only new caldari players will have run through uedama to get back to yulai. No other empire has to.

All roads lead to Jita.

Guess they will have to start using Amarr then…

Doesn’t exiting through any of the other Empires also eventually entail transiting through at least one 0.5 system enroute to Jita?

Yep. The very first gate to Amarr space from Yulai is a 0.5 system. But 0.5 isn’t the only security you can be ganked in…
