Introducing Exordium!

It’s just the cheapest to be ganked in…

Mandate is the name of the system in Exordium that has its only region gate.

As with any other 0.5 gate or choke point, they can’t get everyone. Luck of the draw, or simply don’t make yourself a valuable target in the first place. That has been the case since day one…

you mean manifest?

Small volumes and multiple trips. Make it as unprofitable for them as possible. They may still shank you for the lulz, but they won’t be getting anything out of it either…

Oh, I get it now.

Yes, that’s a given for you and I. Not necessarily a given for most new players…

Do wormholes populate in Exordium?

Thats something I haven’t seen be discussed. Could be an alternate way out.

If WHs ever get added to Exordium, CCP could also make them one way collapsible WH, Exordium >>> Anywhere

I don’t think so. At least not yet…

Maybe training wormholes that don’t go anywhere so new players can practice probing them down. Or it just dumps you in another area of Exordium.

Career agents spawn sites for them to scan down already.

Pretty sure they said no whs or filaments

You real? Wormholes are scary. The new region is for players who are afraid of scary things like mean players and NPCs that are strong enough to destroy their ships. So no, wormholes mustn’t be in Exordium.

You are part of the whole problem here by making wild assumptions about something you know nothing about…and then others believing the nonsense. Again, you have no idea what people are deciding on.

I think youd be surprised at the level of discovery some players have. Not all of them are based upon some analytics of a little self run game server.

The solution to this loophole is to limit the value/type of the ship that can be shipcasted, as well as the cargo to a reasonable sum newbies would want to take along.

For example:

“Your ships value exceeds 50 million ISK and cannot take this shipcaster. Try the gate to Yulai instead”.

This prevents veteran players from safely hauling and casting a valuable load with a throwaway newbie character. The lower that limit, the less worth it is to create a character specifically to haul once through a shipcaster.

People would definitely consider going through the hassle of making a new character if it means they can quickly and safely teleport a hauler carrying 5 billion to a destination. But they wouldn’t do that for 50 million.

Maybe CCP needs to start tracking the age or a new account created and not the characters.

Ill be curious on how FC will perform all the check boxes after the exordium release. Im sure we will get a plethora of patch notes over time to fine tune it all.

Im still hopeful.

QuakeGod, you pretend as if nothing else can change.

First, there will be new players. So there will be continued demand from them. Secondly, ships and modules can have wear (depreciating effectiveness) and a limited lifespan. You can remove the 1.0 - 0.9 system lack of NPC pirates and furthermore buff HiSec pirates in a manner that makes them a threat. Like every other PvE MMO. I would suggest something a little more dynamic, where instead of two frigates attacking an orca, a fleet comes in with scrams/disruptors frigates/drones and destroyers, Naga/Tornado class BC and battleships depending on need. NPCs could also actually pirate and loot player wrecks and jetcans. EVE could use a difficulty increase across the board, but not in the stupid way they buff diamond rats.

The markets are already being flooded with millions of m3 in ore. You think ganking is really that big of an issue in the grand scheme of things? I’m not telling you hisec non-consensual PVP should be eliminated. I’m saying the majority would not care if it was. And if the gankers left the game it wouldn’t even be a drop in the bucket.

So…gankers. It’s just NPC’s doing it now. Youv’e changed nothing. By the way, we already had that in the form of Triglavian roaming patrols and players whined to the high heavens about losing their ships in belts while mining, so they were removed…
