Introducing the HyperNet Relay

peace … and you are 100% right … “money grab”

Not that you had any credibility before but ranting about how the game is confusing and then saying it started with REMOVING learning skills years ago doesn’t really help your cause much.

It had that green background for ages.
That told me that I could sell there.
Am I wrong?
Is that not the case?

Now there’s a button and yet another tooltip.
I can appreciate the tooltip, but not the button.

So now it looks like this: image
Because, seriously, there is zero point to have that column waste so much space.

You guys did not think this through.

Oh and look at this: image

Gee, wow, thanks so much!
I’m required to waste space!

Thanks!

Anyhow…

CCP, when you keep treating everyone like a clueless new player,
you’re turning your whole playerbase into clueless morons eventually.

The more hints and tips and tooltips there are,
the less the brain needs to memorize things,
because it’ll instead simply look up the information again.

You should turn those off after a while,
to make sure people actually remember stuff.
That’s not just about this, but in general!

That’s why people don’t remember phone numbers anymore.
They can just look them up quickly and easily,
or don’t even need to know them anymore anyway.

Before mobile phones reached the masses,
people had numbers in their heads,
because looking them up on paper wasn’t worth the time and effort.

NOT THAT ANYONE BELIEVES IT ANYWAY,
BUT THAT DOESN’T CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

That button is cut off.
UI scaling set to 90%, in case it matters.

We knew this already, because it was blue.

What you should be doing is having popup windows for new players,
explaining the ■■■■ they’re looking at! Instead you force this ■■■■ onto everyone,
including those who are capable of figuring it out themselves!

THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT WAY!
IT’LL JUST KEEP INCREASING YOUR AMOUNT OF WORK IN THE LONG RUN!
I PROMISE YOU THAT!

When you fail at making people aware of what things mean,
then THIS is not the way to move forward

You’re literally insulting the intellect of people.

Worse, you’re insulting your own intellect,
because you’re showing signs that you don’t really know what you’re doing!

THIS is just as stupid as the chat bubble you’ve introduced
It just shows that you have no clue how to get people to understand how your UI works,
and have no actual clue of how to get people to understand and do things,
just like that stupid chat bubble you’ve introduced once.

AND you’re forcing me to waste space,
because you suck at this, and that’s really bad!

Holy ■■■■!

I want everyone to think really hard about this:

We need stupid symbols in our order window,
because people can’t figure what the colours mean,
but at the same time CCP thinks people will easily comprehend THIS:

YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH,
RRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!

No, in the past every household had at most one number, now even the cat and budgie have new numbers every few months. You just can’t remember them all. :joy:

Actually, virtually nobody will pay any attention to any of these UI details. Just like nobody paid any attention to them before, instead asking in help chat whenever they have a question.

Assuming that your attention to old, clumsy UI elements makes you a smarter person, and that EVE is only developing now ‘for morons’, says a lot more about you than it does about CCP.

Most people have something better to base their self-image on than their dedication to an outmoded PC game.

You had no friends. Okay.

It’s better UI but i still don’t like because it’s new.

Mhh? I mean

you can no longer remember all the numbers because they are simply too many and are constantly changing. Why should I remember them?

Well I’m shocked. I’m in total agreement with Solecist Project.

In my opinion all the recent changes in the game just proves the current CCP Dev’s have no clue about the game. Seems to me all the constant changing of things in the game that nobody asks for is them trying to protect their continued employment at CCP.

Yeah I’ve had that happen, scary isn’t it.

Dat post. Dat post… man… I dunno why people are flagging all your posts in the feedback thread. You’re posting pictures of hypernet spam in Jita, Perimeter, and Urlen… seems pretty on topic to the HYPERNET update, eh? Anyway, you’re getting like 3 or 4 or 5 upvotes on each one even though they’re semi-hidden now, so keep on keeping on.

We memorized numbers because back in those days you HAD to. Now you have a hard enough time remembering your OWN number off the top of your head to give to an IRL business, let alone rattling off your friends, your families, your SO, etc. Our phones are keeping track of all the #s for us now, which makes us stupid-er. ;D

There’s a HUGE pet peeve of mine that CCPlz introduced to the market browser. You know, the thing that has all the categories of items in the box of the market window to the left? Yeah, when you double click on an item you’re either selling or buying or just want to view market details on an item, it expands that particular category. So, dozens, or even hundreds of items and that window is basically a flaming train wreck on a another train wreck, on another train wreck, on another train wreck… so on and so forth.

This garbage is INFURIATING!!! Who thought this idiotic, stupidly implemented, trash feature, was a good idea? Even worse, can’t turn it off. There is so much crap that needs an option to be turned off. Like the tool tips when you hover over an item. CCP Rise’s response “just set the delay to long and it’s basically off” Who educated you on the definition of ‘OFF’ my man? I feel like it’s my e-mail that gets bombarded with spam, only it’s in EVE.

Get rid of this crap, nobody asked you for it, nobody wants it, start acting like you know what you’re doing. There’s plenty of reasons CCP is never getting another dime of my money and why you’re game is circling the drain. Might want to start listening to your playerbase CCPlz.

There IS this thing where I don’t have to give them my money, but still play even as an omega.

You need some better education friend, looks like whoever paid for your remedial education screwed you over.

In either case, your salty comment has given me a moment of amusement. Good day.
