Introducing the HyperNet Relay

If all you care about is not giving your personal money, sure.

But keep in mind that someone is still financially supporting CCP when they purchase the PLEX to list on the market.

But purchasing PLEX, you’re still supporting other individuals to financially support CCP.

That’s nice.

Alpha players are pariahs, untermenschen in the game of EvE. You could as well not exist at all.

If you say so. One day you’ll learn how to go outside and make friends. Or not. Or you could just hide your extreme level of ineptitude with words in another language to try and make yourself look smart. Loving these flimsy, half-baked arguments that have next to no relevance though, keep it coming people!

One tiny little thing.

You’re not colour blind. so, for you, colour is a reasonable indicator. It shouldn’t be the only one.

If this were a raffle then the money (ISK or not) being spent on the “ticket” would be directed to a good or social cause. I can’t see anything like that being mentioned here. The absense of a cause means it’s not a raffle, it’s a lottery, ie, gambling.

Only two US states have a 100% ban on gambling: Hawaii and Utah. Only 5 states allow online gambling.
If you want this to change and live in a democratic country Write your political Representative. let them know about gambling in a video game rated for kids 12+. eve has a PEGI 12 rating. Wiki gambling in US

You know …

My thread was first!
My post was first!
Should have merged it at the beginning! :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks! <3

Also … you’re late!

Then she’d have to leave the US first.

Well, i quit eve a couple of months ago, because it just wasnt bearable any longer, i did enjoy explorations, i nearly vomited into my breakfast cereals when ccp introduced the new agency tab for " exploration" basically taken out the exploration part by showing u sigs in systems around you…i was like “wtf”…
i already was mad pissed about having to compete with gazillions of astero bots, and ccp come up with this brilliant idea…-.-

…then it continuisly got more and more annoying with those ■■■■ astero bots, everywherrrrreee, i wonder why?..pvp went down the shitter too, either u ■■■■ out isk to fly the new metas, and be able to afford he losses of those blingy expensive hulls and mods, or u simply fly cheap ships and have a much less target spectrum… or u go t1 frigs in fw space…which is absolute and utterly garbage, as its mechanics get exploited to the max…

so i ragequit , cuz the ingame community i was in, couldnt bare me complaining about this ■■■■ on a daily basis, any longer, and i just didnt have the energy anymore to have mad arguments with players who clearly are blind to reality, and it got super annoying to try to explain whats wrong, to another guy, every single day, or simply block those douches, …but where else to vent my frustration…

a healthy pause from eve.to come back with new drive and energy

like every sane player, i first checked on whats new in the game, before i even reactivated my account.

i see " hyperlink" whatever gibberish,i go figure out what that is…

i deleted eve from my pc for good.to lazy to download stuff, just to be able to get in character window for biomassing ( which i probably couldnt do anyways, i either let that character catch dust then killing it for good )

it was a nice 8 years.

o7 to all capsuleers who still stuck with eve.

fly safe.

dont let eve ruin your blodd pressure.

So you say it is legal to convert real life money into some digital e-currency. Then spend it on something ingame to get tickets(tokens) for a lottery. A lottery is gambling, gambling via internet in the Netherlands is illlegal.

Then report it to your government instead of whining here.

And people not in the Netherlands care because?

Not that anyone gives a crap about my opinion, especially CCP, but here it is anyway… Firstly I will never sell anything on this god awful network. 3 days to sell all your nodes else I loose plex and isk- …rubbish. Great for buyers that like to gamble their isk away, I spent “X” mill on 6 of 8 nodes for a tech 2 ship and still got nothing, so that was my first experience. I cant really search for what I want, tech 2 bpo’s for example and to look at items I have to keep refreshing the present screen… how about a scrollable list like normal… the way it is is too time consuming and CCP should be paving the way for higher new-bro retention, not sucking more out of their loyal player base… ( shame on you!)

this is what I’m seeing happening on big ticket items, ( would work for smaller ticket ones too I’m sure) like a Pithum A-Type Adaptive Invulnerability Field 1.4 billion ) – the issuer buys most of the nodes him/herself. therefore u have a pretty good chance to win the item back and rake in whatever cash. not very well thought out as this totally defeats the purpose of a raffle. Also if the tickets don’t sell… too bad it gets drawn between the ones who did buy a ticket. I’ve never heard of a raffle where u get your money back because all the tickets don’t sell! would make sellers far more serious about being fair when putting stuff up.

They originally come from the NES so someone had to pay real money/plex at some point to put them up on the in-game market.

Im not 100% sure but wouldn’t it only be considered gambling if CCP allowed mechanics to convert plex and/or isk back into real money? their eula expressly forbids it and for legal reasons is why. If this could be done with their blessing a whole rasher of gambling laws would then come into play… however their response to me regarding taxing the plex i buy from the NES as well as taxing the isk I trade it for in game, pretty much clears it up…

Hello, Senior GM Karidor here.

As soon as PLEX are claimed into the game and removed from the vault in any capacity, they are considered ingame items in every regard. This means if they are being sold to players on the player market, they are subject to the same broker fees (which are payable to the owners of the station) and sales tax that applies to all items that are being traded on the player market.

Best Regards,
Senior GM Karidor
CCP Player Experience | EVE Online

-So once u claim the plex into the game it is no longer considered “real money” even if it was purchased with it.
funny though I never sell in player owned stations only npc ones so who’s taking my brokers fees and tax isk?

Ps. please don’t insult our intelligence by advertising this as a “free market” its really only free for buyers who win.

when the hyperNet Relay offer ends, is the random node chosen from those that have been purchased or are non-purchased nodes included?

If all nodes are purchased it ends immediately and a random node is chosen to be the winner. If after 3 days there are still unpurchased nodes then it ends and everyone is refunded the isk that they spent on nodes, the item is given back to the hypernet creator and the cores are not refunded.

thank you @Algathas - so smaller is better if you want it to end soon.
