oh holy crap, I just realised this mechanism is totally illegal in the UK as you can only run a raffle or lottery if you’re a registered charity or public local authority AND you’re raising funds for a good cause.
(Source: Gambling Act 2005 (section 56 also makes provision to offence for inviting minors to participate in a lottery - defined in English law as any person below the age of 18))
CCP you probably better rethink this, you’re probably going to run afoul of IRS regulation on lotteries as well.

You pay real money to gamble right? And you get “things” for it. And those “things” can technically (against the EULA) be sold for real money again.
So, who wants to bet how long until CCP releases an update to try and save face and steer clear of the whole ‘gambling will ruin the ga…ohh look a bunny made of money’

You don’t pay real money to gamble on the Hypernet Relay. Please tell me where you can put in real money (no exchanging to another thing, that’s not putting in real money).
Just because YOU can break rules does not mean CCP is violating a law. 
I’ll have 2 PLEX and some fluff I just found on “This was only a suggestion in the same way the BO was just a trial and we will not be implementing it as this was never the intention anyway”.

You can only originate the Hyperthingies in the NES - any ingame ones sold would have to have been bought for rl money to begin with. There is your real money. But then, you have been told that several times already.

There is no way to get those tokens into the game, unless someone pays real money for them. That is literally the only way. Hence they are bought for real money and represent that real money.
That’s like saying you cannot actually gamble real money in a casino because you are using chips… and chips are not dollars… lol
