But that’s not real money gambling.
That’s just microtransactions.
It’s rather easy to see.
That’s actually how they do it. Glad you’re catching on!

Yes. Obviously you have read the release too.
You do because the PLEX market exists. The courts and governments have found that using real money to buy in-game currency which you then spend on gambling is still “putting in real money” and still gambling.
Just because YOU can break rules does not mean CCP is violating a law.
The law does not require the ability to sell in-game assets for cash. The mere act of gambling to get those assets counts, even if you can not take any cash value out of the game.
So casinos with chips are not for gambling real money?
I give up. Pls enjoy yourself and good night.
I’m saying your connection between microtransactions that take place and this Hypernet Relay does not actually mean there is “real money gambling”.
CCP is running eve like bad government running a country. Get rid of the good guys (Somer Blink) through arbitrary rules and regulations, then install your program. And making it seem like an original idea but ripping off someone else’s.
We know that, you also just do
dged it
I’m just going to slip in before Brisc - I was banned, did’t do nuffin etc - quick
Then you have to make the argument that gambling with chips in a casino is not “real money gambling”. In both cases you use money to buy an alternative form of currency and then gamble with it.
You don’t buy isk with real world currency and you don’t sell isk for real world currency. In a casino you can convert the chips to and from real currency. Very different.
You absolutely buy ISK with real world currency via the PLEX market. And the fact that you can’t sell it is irrelevant, the law considers gambling for virtual items to be gambling even if you can’t extract those items from the game.
ib4 ballgag this is the silliest thing i have ever read
other than 50 shades of grey
even her hair was better than your avatar
ed. mine is also bad but i am honouring the original owner >.>
You may not but people do. That is a fact. Also, converting isk back to PLEX then paying for Omega Time with it is counted as “money’s worth” and therefore “cashing out”.
No matter how much you try to white-knight this it IS rl money and it is gambling.
Nope, you are buying a subscription when you buy PLEX with cash. You are then selling your plex (subscription) for isk. The isk is not created out of thin air it comes from another player.
Then you can do what you want with your isk, such as buying a raffle ticket with your worthless cash wise isk, to win worthless cash wise items.
Not even close to a casino for real cash like you are thinking.
No - you are buying a “transit currency” and not a subscription. When you buy Omega Time you are buying a subscription - you are paying for a service. PLEX is not Omega Time. Nice try though.
can I just point out the screaming obvious here, that every Plex in the game environment was once balance on someone’s bank account? So no matter how you spin it, yes RL money has helped in no small way to seed the entire in-game economy.
THIS ^^^^
You were supposed to be a trollop, also you have a tiny head avatar which means you are not to be trusted
That might have been how it used to work when you bought game time codes but that is no longer the case. PLEX is an in-game currency just like ISK and can be used to buy various items and services in addition to subscription time.
If I sold a T shirt for money which I then gamble then you are saying the buyer of the T-Shirt is participating in my gambling. That is pretty much what you are saying translated to real life. You guys are hilarious.
But either way who cares? Its CCP’s game. They have their lawyers and know the law. If they want to put this in game and they feel they legally can then some internet warrior forum lawyers are not going to have more knowledge on the subject than them or convince them otherwise. The comments on this forum are a joke.
