I’m torn. I like the ECM change, but I just got a WH to live in and meh.
Im genuinely asking; what is there to like about it?
Being able to fight back when my Orca is being jammed instead of having to sit and twiddle my thumbs while it goes up in smoke is a nice change, for me personally.

It has. My fault for not giving a ■■■■ about a wardec while mining. I don’t mind losing ships, you blow one up I replace it. What i mind is being locked out of the fight.
Fair dos. I just dont imagine my drones making a dent in anything that would be able to ECM an orca, but losing any purpose for all ECM ships outside a fleet has me a bit annoyed.
Chances are, i’ll still die. At least I can say i went down fighting though. lol
And yes, I see your side of it as well. What we have here is another case of CCProgramming. They want to change one thing, but never bother to look at both sides of the code.

Its like EVE is dying, one thing at a time. CQ, ECM, wormhole rolling, interceptor roams, the list will go on and on…

I’ll get a lot of hate, but Eve is already dead. It probably died 5-6 years ago. I’m sure CCP has a ton of data on new accounts coming in, which is why we have Alpha/Omega now. Frankly, the only ones left are too hardcore for most. Citadels and player stations are littered everywhere. It’s a complicated game with a huge learning curve to overcome. Add to that the horrible idea of skill injectors/extractors and even the whole PLEX system and being able to swap real cash for game currency and Eve basically killed Eve itself. Then when you look at the farmers, scammers, and gankers… who would want to start new? Who would want to come back? Sure, some will… but most don’t.
At one point your character had meaning… prestige in the time and effort, but now it’s a joke.

I came back just to annoy the hackers who were trying to get into my accounts.
After 3 weeks of gathering all my crap up and paying CCP ransom to return all my 0.0 assets in lowsec, I’ve come to the conclusion the game is better off dead. CCP was really jacking things up when I left, and it seems they’ve continued.
I understand the whole force projection thing that the old jump mechanics created, but there had to be a better way than punish everyone…My carrier and dread are almost useless after the jump nerfs. No range means you need cynos everywhere, but i’m not running 4-5 accounts simply to move around.
Many of the areas i used to frequent appear to be ghost towns now. Even rescuing a couple hundred billion from lowsec was absurdly easy. What I didn’t jump out I ran out in viators and even with a couple dozen runs I only ran into a single camp that chased me for three jumps. I ran an alt thru curse in a pod and saw a total of 4 people, and not a single ship. Numbers are obviously terrible compared to when I left, but i can’t believe how few people seem to be around.
Add to that that they’ve never done anything with Tidi means that I have no interest in returning to 0.0 slide shows.
Changed all my passwords, used some plex i had on some accounts to actually use my ships, and now I’m wondering why even bother. And lastly, the Game looks old on my new 4k system, they clearly don’t have any 4k texturing so it’s not much of an improvement.
Hey Bob - can I have your stuff so I can use it at least for the (hopefully) year it will take Pearl Abyss to change EvE into something that gives them a ROI on their purchase of CCP? You know…after ccp can’t keep up with the financial targets PA sets for them while solidifying their strategy of using ccp’s access to the Chinese market which was probably mostly why PA bought them in the first place at which point I will probably leave EvE along with many current players but by that time PA probably won’t care. TIA
