More that I need a reason to play. Praying on sheep is no fun. They took away my ability to prey on other wolves.
I used to have those as well, We only wd’ed the Null blks. Didn’t bother with griefing much. Never did ganking at all.
Something to aspire to was being better at the game when players were much harder to kill. Well, at least the null blks were supposed to be better trained.
The player base was more intelligent, ask CCP if their bragging about that now like they used to. Grid Foo Better trained and far more open to knowing they would face combat. I’m glad you enjoy the game at least.
The game needs more players like you. You don’t have to agree with my playstyle but at least this player has a spine enough to fight!
Perhaps you come from a time when people had to actually understand ship fittings and their use, rather than these days just being handed doctrine ships with no ‘need’ to understand why they are fitted as they are. The whole reason I created Gloria was to experiment on my own rather than endlessly flying doctrine Eagles, etc. And I’ve gained more fittings knowledge and skill in 2 months of solo suspect hunting than in the entire prior 3 years of fleet activity.
Add to that the fact that by the time one has got to 1000 fleet kills, each extra kill is a smaller and smaller portion of the total. My 64 puny kills on my own somehow feel like ‘more’ than when I’ve been in some fleet killing a 20bn station or gotten 60 kills in one hour in fleet action against an enemy. I think corps sucking in noobs in relatively simple doctrine ships has led to a dearth of real skills…and that is what you have perceived.
With respect. If you are as good as you are claiming. Then shouldn’t you be the one in your corp teaching? Demonstrating how to fight? Tricks that others may not know about or even realize can be done.
As a relatively new player myself. I know that there are things that can be and can not be done. But there is a vast amount of knowledge that I have not come across yet.
If you are as good as all that. Then you should be willing to instruct or at least offer to your Corp to make them better as a fleet in a fight. But this is just an observation and a suggestion.
I find those that are as good as they say are already showing/teaching new(ish) players how to.
Poster’s like the one that I responded to rarely are as good as they think they are. But maybe he/she is as good as all that. Which makes me wonder if you are in corp, guild, clan, or whatever and understand the game and how to do. As this poster has at least alluded to has not shown how to be a better player in a PVP fleet fight in his corp.
Maybe it’s time for this poster to either put up or shut up. Because bragging how much better than your corp mates. To me makes me think that the poster is salty because he found out that things have changed and not everyone is at the level of play he is at, if he is even at that level of play in the first place.
So yes my question stands, why does he not teach/demonstrate or at least offer to do the same in his corp? In the end don’t we want all of our corps to be just that good?
Probably, but this not back in the day. This is now. And now he is crying that other pilots are not up to his standards. If he is still as good as he says he is, again why is he not, at the very least, offering to his corp to teach them. Instead he is here complaining. Making people wonder if he is still as good as he claims.
