Gameplay-wise? Maybe. More activity is good. Technologically-wise? Absolutely not. Every technological improvement of the last 5 years has only made the server and client quality worse.
I’m having a lot of fun ganking miners in HiIghsec.

What? New player have no idea how CAGED and LIMITED they are compared to the past. The past was FUN and worth playing the game for. 15 drone carriers? New players will never know they existed.
And? The only thing they would do with 15 drone carriers is AFK anyway…

New players can get millions of ISK daily without even so much as undocking. They are handed free ISK and ships left and right.
You want 15 drones? Fleet up 3 Ishtars and assign all the drones to one of them. There’s your 15 drone carrier…
EDIT: Which brings up an interesting, although admittedly, off-topic question. I should know the answer to this, but I don’t. When you “borrow” a flight of drones from someone else’s ship, do the drones take on the damage bonus of your ship’s hull and your skills, or do they retain the damage bonus and skills of the player that you “borrowed” them from?
What? Of course they use skills and boni of the ship they come from. Else everyone would fly a Gila as bunny and assign truckloads of Medium Drones from cheap unskilled t1 cruiser alts to it…

Ok, well now I know. I knew that you could loan flights of drones out to other ships, just didn’t know the exact mechanics of it.

Didn’t vote as my thoughts are more nuanced than yes, no, maybe.
Eve is always moving sometimes right, sometimes wrong but the only way if finds the wrong is by stepping in that direction and applying the FAFO rule. Over the years I have helped or hindered movement as I personally saw fit. Most of you can do the same by ‘voting with your wallet’ The older among you will remember the Summer of Rage. The wiser will stop and think about what we were mad at and how many of them came, eventually, in the boiling of the frog.

Can only go so long before the multiboxers realize they are just playing with themselves. The changes made are repeatedly in ways that don’t bring in new players. Sooner or later that is going to lead to a change of leadership.

It’s definitely been a thing but never at the degree it is now. Newer rigs allow people to multibox 20+account with no issues at all. 15 years ago you were lucky to run 3 accounts at once.
