Is EVE Online heading in the right direction?

That’s because players weren’t fronting the items and AD that you could farm. With Freelance jobs, players are the ones providing the rewards.

Alright, but that was logical, because even if they could why would they sacrifice their own XP and currency for players who complete their quest? They gain nothing by creating the quest and they should even pay, potentially thousands of players? That makes no sense.

EVE Online on the other hand will not allow to create anything actually unique unlike Neverwinter MMO. All the quests will be made to benefit players and as such it is logical they must pay their own ISK to those that complete it. But that is also the biggest flaw because you just can’t create something like new level 4 mission. And if you do, it would make no sense to pay players to complete it again.

Not saying it is impossible for charity players to appear who would create such a mission and source their own ISKs, (@Mike_Azariah basically doing something similar), but those would be handful of ultra rich players and they wouldn’t be able to keep it up for long (if it would be something that would, just like level 4 mission, be accessible to any number of players at any time).
