doesnt matter if youre unarmed ! you decide to play eve and this means you also decided to have YOUR part of all this PvP out there !
the question is … did he got ganked or did he just though he will get ganked and startet his rant in local without any reason ? oO
this could be a notice that he was killed but still not 100% sure …
but if he got ganked then it was his fault ! he could have seen this coming if he just pay attention !
the ganker by itself didnt do anything wrong and now hes gonna called “omega coward” ? oO
did you guys notice that miners in low / null and wh also got killed ? they are unarmed in any space they are active … but in HS they flame their oponent that hes
a coward and can only shot miners in HS
a sociopath
a psychopath
a griefer ( sometimes it is griefing but sometimes its not )
assholes
many more insults and rantings
correct ! at first they dont need to be a “victim” and if they got shot ( can happen ) then they never ever should say something ! but most of them dont understand both arguments …
Yes, I use to watch the old TV series “Hogan’s Heroes” were they blew up German supply trains. They never bothered to mention all the civilians riding on those trains. Sabotage has victims too. I don’t know who the scumbag was selling his ore to and neither do I when I sell in market. In the end, I think the best you can call a miner is a mercenary dealer. We cater to all sorts.
I equally hate everyone. My grand daughter asked me for a pony for Christmas, so I took her down to a horse stable. After one day of cleaning a horse stable she felt very differently. I guess you read into comments what you feel more life should be like for you. Do you have a meltdown when people call you a snowflake? I don’t see this PvP more toxic at all. LEARN TO READ or GET GLASSES, I clearly stated above;
And I have seen a lot worse.
I wonder if your debate could work at a war crimes trial at the Hague? Let’s see…
“I shot people who were in the war zone. It didn’t matter if they were armed or not. They were present so they were asking for it.”. Somehow I just don’t see it working as a solid defense.
Basically in most cases I just watch paint dry and grass grow as I mine in my venture. Chat is normally full of spam. All the chat channels are moderated to the topic. So unless you are sitting still you won’t see anything other than players fist bump once in a great while. When a long conversation does happen in local, it is usually the same rant about some player blew up another player’s ship. Then they start sling mom insults at each other. I have seen worse in other games.
The omega pays to play this PvP game. The freeloading miners like yourself, as they have not paid to play, have no dount not bought their mining licences either and thus facing the consequences which is to have their ships blown up and looted.
Some people do take losing thier pixelated spaceship a bit too seriosuly; one of them declared that he was a criminal lawyer and would track down all his gankers in real life and have them sent to prison.
My psychologist allows me to play EvE because it gives me a healthy way to act out on my antisocial, psychotic tendencies without hurting anyone in real life. It’s considered “therapy.”
Eve Online is brutal. But the friendships you form in the danger you share counters all the brutality and is what keeps me coming back! The war stories I can share with others who play Eve, even my mortal enemy in-game, is SO worth it!
Once upon a time long ago the veteran player based capitalized on the ignorance of new players. This was back before in game tutorials and such.
For example, I’m a new hauler and I dare to accept a shipment into low/null sec. I traverse some 50 odd jumps and survive only to find that I cant dock at the station. When I check the cargo, it’s garbage. Making it back to hi-sec will be a struggle and I lost my collateral on garbage with a shipment that cant be made.
Going to the forums to complain only brought about ridicule with HTFU and the deliciousness of Carebear tears comments. Any attempt to suggest adding more info in-game was met with “don’t waste Dev time.”
Basically, EVE was a game made for assholes so I quit many times.
Imagine my surprise when I check it out this year and suddenly there are tutorials, warnings and all sorts of neat features to educate you on the game (I remember when the skill queue was only one at a time then 5 or something. When getting podded meant losing skill points if you forgot to update your clone. Whatever the case it was pathetic. )
Eve is not near as toxic as it once was. I don’t know what leadership changes at CCP made it possible, but the game is now enjoyably playable and thus, CCP gets more of my money.
