Started EVE almost 20 years ago, been on and off.
I just dont have the time to be engaged in nullsec and thinking about returning, what I miss about the game is building and trading. But highsec ganking always end up frustraighting me and I quit, so was curious about where EVE is on highsec ganking now.

How can you possibly enjoy EVE without risk ? My God….how boring is EVE if all you ever do is pile on ISK after ISK into some ‘tycoon’ pile.
Victory in EVE is not flying around in an ‘ungankable’ ship…..but flying around in a gankable one and not being ganked.

Just dont have time to be super seriuos about the game, just want to chill for some hours when the kids are in bed and play the industrial part of the game. Its quite interesting for a lot of people I think.
It’ll always be a thing & it’s what keeps the game from growing to a larger active player base.

No change, high sec ganking is part of EVE now as it was before. EVE is a game that thrives on destruction and danger.
If you wish to come back to build and trade, just know that this destruction and danger is what makes building and trading worthwhile.

I disagree with your analysis though, EVE’s economy is not reliant on HS ganking, that is a small part of EVE - at least when I played. Its mainly impacted by big wars and people willing to go duke it out in null and low.
