strangely enough so do the tools for mining a single rock
False.
Each Corvette is set with a mining laser, and they are freely generated.
okay salvos have fun mining your rocks in a rookie ship
You can put the civilian mining lasers on any ship you want.
This is getting embarrassing slapping ypu around like this…
Are you sure WoW might not be a better game for you?
yeah but those ships all come from the market so you cant use them sorry
theyre only for pvpers
edit
sorry they dont come from the market they come from rocks which are mined for minerals and then refined and manufactured into ships and then put on the market
thought i should clarify before you yell at me again
Except for the fact that those resources respawn at downtime and if nobody else comes into the system looking to do the same thing that you’re doing, then it’s strictly PvE.
Wrong, it only involves PvP if somebody else comes into the same system before Downtime looking to do the same PvE content that you’re doing.
And after downtime you mine away the rocks again and they are again gone. PVP. Resource respawning is irrelevant.
Well at least someone just made it clear that any PvE situation can easily become a PvP one.
Only if somebody else comes into that system looking to do the same thing you’re doing, otherwise it’s not PvP.
It really is because the potential that someone comes in and wants to mine in the belt that you stripped earlier always exists. As said, the PVP does not need to happen with an immediate succession of events. Someone coming in hours after you stripped the belt is still impacted by your actions, which makes it PVP even though you were mining alone for hours.
Like I said, it’s not PvP unless somebody else comes into that system before Downtime looking to do the same PvE content that you’re doing.
I’ve camped out in systems doing PvE content that didn’t have anybody else in those systems for days on end.
If there is no other player involved in competition against you, its not PvP, its PvE.
There is no PvP without another player as your vs.
Mining or ratting with no other player there, is PvE.
It only becomes PvP if another PLAYER contests you or the rewards there.
Stripmining an asteroid field alone, or completing a NPC combat site alone, or a data/relic site alone, is PvE.
but you need to either buy the equipment from the market or make your own which also affects the market
Nonw of which changea that if you mine an asteroid field, or run a combat site, alone, without a vs player onvolvement, it is PvE.
but there is other player involvement
the player you bought the equipment from or denied a sale to
That’s a different type of content, stop lumping all the various types of content in this game all together so you can pass it off as being strictly PvP.
You cant have Player vs Player, without another Player contesting you.
not trying to pass it off as strictly pvp
Player vs Player (PvP) requires atleast two Players in versus.
The terminology itself explicitly makes that clear.
Shooting lasers at rocks or NPCs is PvE, UNLESS another Player contests you there either by aggressing you or contesting rewards. Only then does that interaction become PvP, and even then, its between the two or more Players, not the E in Environment.
You stripmining an asteroid belt, or running combat sites, alone, is PvE. Period. Nor does that change if you only take one ore, or kill one NPC there, to “deprive” someone else that arrives later. Its still PvE.
This is not rocket science.
Its clear as day common sense and wholly within definitions of each.
I thought HS/NS carebears where bad, but your misunderstanding of PvE vs PvP in EVE, really cant stand against the facts.

you havent provided any
all youve done is provide opinions presented as facts
calling them facts doesnt make them facts
