Is it possible to get 100% resistance

Hello i was testing totaly stupid titan fits with the simulator and started to wonder if it was possible to get 100% reistance on anything without using a capital emergency hull energizer and if so how?

People used to have more than 100% resistances in wormholes with bonuses, but then when some rat shoot you, the formula counting damages went haywire and aplicated incredible amount of damage to ship.

Dont know if that is still a thing.

Some ancient thread about it

The math is supposed to add resists to the difference between your resists and 100% so you shouldn’t be able to hit 100%.

I’d guess the highest possible resist would be on a HAC with an assault damage control active. Either that or a DST as they get a big bonus to heating hardeners.

Also for what it’s worth there was a bug where you could go over 100% resists, however that results in integer max damage and your ship explodes to one shot. See the above post for more on that.

i made this but it just doesnt want to go from 99 to 100

Nope can’t do 100%

There was a way once, but it was found during testing and was quickly removed.

It involves the overheating bonus of deep space transports.

It can go infinitesimal close to 100, but not reach 100.

In your fitting tool you can actually see 100 for each resistance, although 2 of them for Shield and 2 for Armor.

You need to overheat all active modules, 100 for Kin/Ex in Shields and 100 for EM/Therm in Armor.

Really it will be 99,5+ something, not actually 100. (pyfa says it’s between 99.4% and 99.5%, but in-game fitting tool shows it as 100)

p.s. relying on Reistances alone usually goes wrong. You can’t overheat forever and you are totally depending on Cap. Cap gone, no defense left.
