is it worth doing moon mining as I just joined an alliance which gives access to its moon miner. But I can only use a venture so should I try and do some moon mining?

give it a try 
if you don’t like , try other things …
IMO you don’t have much to lose

high sec?null sec?If you collect moon minerals in null sec, you can try to collect r16 or higher level minerals
