Won’t touch abbysal space because of often losing connection and dying in a site. For incursions I need to wait in a waitlist and need biling ships/fits. Missions are oke but rn I don’t want to touch that. how is ratting in nullsec en running escalations? do you need to invest billions in fits and ships to to these ?
Null can be a high income area, yes. And it can easily be a high loss area if you aren’t aware how to operate there. Although if you’re with the right group in the right areas, it can be mostly safe and profitable, without investing billions.
For more details on how to go about it, I’d recommend researching “Earning ISK” videos and guides, and also starting to check the Recruitment Center section of the forums to look for corps that do the sort of things you’re interested in doing.
I lived in null for a time and if you’re not blue they will find you and pop you. join a null corp and get that blue tag. from then on in null it’s a matter of situational awareness. Stranger = Danger or NBSI (not blue, shoot it).
Even when you are blue you will often see people who are not blue who will try to kill you.
The fun thing is that you can kill them too.
I haven’t chased the ‘high income’ of null sec much, but the abundant planets combined with low tax make PI lucrative for me in null. And other activities too seem to pay pretty good, like moon mining.
But for those activities it helps to be part of a group instead of solo.
I resided inside a wormhole for 6 months. J Space is 0.0 like Null but you don’t get to see in local who else is with you. I did well on mining gas, ratting, etc. However for the lack of conversation and other real players to shoot at you, it gets a bit dull. So I moved out back to normal space. I imagine I could do the same stuff in Null, but I think you need a Null Sec corp to hang out with in there.
I have to ask, was this before or after they gutted the gas requirements for ship building? I moved from fullerites to booster gases as a result of their decision. Making ISK isn’t my main goal, but it helps pay the bills.
I am pretty solo since my husband rarely plays this much. I don’t tell people my way is the best way, or say I make billions in a short amount of time. I make my ISK by having fun, I currently mine gas now in 0.4 low security systems. I am alpha, I use a Venture, and limited to scoops. There are some pricey syndicate scoops that mine 2x faster, but you better get them paid off before the ship gets blown up. This is why I stick to the cheaper ones. I find a nice dead end place in 0.4 and set up shop in the nearest station. My inventory is; 2 or more ventures, gas cloud scoops, scoped survey scanner, 16 probes and launcher, microwarp drive, medium shield extender, 1 Miasmos ( normally parked in another nearby system ). I scan for gas sites in the system and surrounding 0.4 to 0.3 systems. Once found it takes me about 1 hour at most to fill the venture, I normally chat with people while I do this the first time out. After one hour, I have 500 gas x 40,000 = 20,000,000. The 15 million startup cost is paid for, now I can return to the cloud and AFK mine. If I play this way for 3 hours I make 60 million profit or better. Average it out over 20 days and I make a billion ISK, mostly AFK in the game. This is not fun, it is funding my fun activities. I hope you find fun in the game as well.
