Call your Internet Service Provider, ask how many Mgb/s you’re getting. Have the rep do a test on your line.
I did that few months ago and they sent a tech to replace the modem with a newer one. It help quite a bit.
Also, watch how much bandwidth you use regularly. That is not unlimited and will be reduced the more you surf but that depends on the plan your account is on.
Anyway, disconnects aren’t always on the game side.
This is absolutely not true for every ISP. Many broadband (DSL, Cable, Fiber) ISPs here in the States do not have data caps and will require you to download absolutely obscene amounts of data in a short time, talking terabytes, before they start to throttle your speed.
Cellular ISPs tend to be another story with very real data caps and throttling.
As for disconnects, yes it is often on the ISP side and not the games side. My last ISP, Century Link, I used for nearly 15 years was absolutely terrible about disconnects. The internet could sometimes go out literally more than 50 times a day. Called them many times, they would say they are doing tests on the line but never could find any issues. Couldn’t switch ISPs because there were no others in my area.
Finally at the beginning of 2023, a new cable company entered the area and they offered internet service. Switched immediately. Still get some occasional disconnects but it is much, much better than Century Link. Funnily enough, a few months after switching, I saw on the news that Century Link had a class action lawsuit being brought against them for ignoring customer complaints and calls regarding internet disconnects and outages.
I’m aware of that. Things work differently in different countries.
No surprise here.
It’s not my ISP - was definitely on EVE’s end. 100mbit duplex fiberoptic connection here, so that wasn’t the issue. I think it was actually something that hiccupped in the EVE client (it stopped responding to commands then disconnected).
How many locator agents do you have access to achieve your level of safety?
As many as I need.
How many do you need?
Just one.
In Old Eden, there werent any covery ops cloaks or nullifiers. Access to Null was almost impossible due to Null Sec alliances bubbling gates into Null from Low.
Trust New Eden has become a lot easier. Man, the old days didnt f*ck around.
I wouldnt even have considered going into Null when I first started playing.
But then, every once in awhile, Leroyyy Jenkinns. That made the old days a lot more fun and exciting.
Im surprised the Null Sec alliances havent complained about having structures that can limit a filament ship to not being able to cloak during the 15 minute filament timer.
But those ESS raids…cherries on top.
ive never been to null
They need to cloak too lol.
They say they don’t want “power projection”, but…well, look at fw and ZZ. they probably use the place more than pirates fw does lol.
I prefer the old days in some ways. Some hot drops had you going damn…they came out this far to crash our party. How bored were they to do that lol.
Most of it is dark and gloomy with no-one there. I had an entire nullsec system completely to myself the other day for an hour or so. Safer than highsec !
Really?
Because I’ve been told that null-sec is actually where the REAL PvPers live, and that I should go there to prove that I am able to do REAL PvP against proper spaceship warriors instead of griefing new players in the game’s starter zone.

The only PvP I’ve encountered in nullsec has all been in fleets…where the systems become all but empty as soon as the battle is over. The only times I’ve been solo attacked by anyone have all been in lowsec or highsec. I’ve traversed multiple nullsec systems solo without encountering any equivalent to gate campers or lowsec’s solo PvP-ers. Maybe I haven’t seen enough of nullsec yet…but I think I’ve seen enough to know that lowsec is more dangerous.
It doe spice it up. Ship(s) engaged, cyno popped…now the fun minigames begin. Will it be something besides redeemers? And how many.
I liked widows dropped in. Even before ecm nerf it was niche and not meta fotm really. Still, it holds a place in my heart.

No, you have. It’s empty. Every time I take a filament or something, it’s just countless systems that are either devoid of life, or have a few bots in them that instantly warp to tether. Occasionally the bot owner will come to check in after getting a remote alert. Sometimes they’ll call me a “f_g” in Russian or Chinese.
If you go to one of the few populated hubs and sit around, or mess with an ESS, they’ll put together a response fleet. The response fleet will only engage you if it outnumbers you at least three to one. If you’re alone or with a small group, it won’t matter, because they won’t do anything until they have at least a few dozen players, so you won’t get a small-scale fight that scales to your numbers regardless of what you do. Players who try to engage enemies alone through their own initiative often get punished by leadership.
Being told to go to null-sec is a last-resort tactic used by retired boomer cluckster forum carebears like Dryson and Epeen to gaslight you into getting out of high-sec. That way they don’t have to baby-sit their mining barges while grinding out Veldspar to pay for their monthly PLEX because they’re living on limited incomes and have nothing better to do anyway.

I sat in one nullsec system, totally alone, for half an hour the other day doing Entosis on an I-Hub. A situation where one is prevented from warping and you can’t switch the Entosis thingy off once it has started a quite long cycle. All a bit scary, and you’d not get away with hanging about like that, a sitting duck and unable to move, for half an hour in many lowsec systems. Yet not one enemy showed up. Nobody, in fact, in that entire time.
Lowsec is just completely different. Can’t go anywhere without some nosey person popping up and weighing up whether they can blap you. Hang around in the same spot for half an hour in lowsec and someone will have a go.

Deeper low sec can get better. Anywhere near pirate FOB areas or when empire is working frontlines yeah…slide over a few systems.
Seeing what major players are doing helps too. I like when snuffed is settling “business disputes” with their renters. It can mean more are bashing than roaming lol.
Most low-sec is completely empty. Just the Tama area around Caldari space and the area near Hek, and some connectors like Ahbazon that are dangerous. The FW areas are active, but the players there are generally unconcerned with you (most are there for PvE to begin with).
Low-sec is so empty that I no longer bother scouting myself through it, unless I’m in one of those mentioned dangerous areas, or flying something like a Bowhead to move multiple ships. I’ve been engaged like…maybe 3 times in the past 5 years total, and two of those times were by a pipe-bomber.
There are places in low-sec where you can literally AFK-mine and have less of a chance of losing your ship than getting ganked while paying attention in high-sec.
