So, Im looking for ships:
Alpha usable, 5+ highs, 650+ cargo
Are there any tools/sites that would give a list of ships that fit the bill?
For what purpose? That would narrow it down.
Well using the ship tree you can see all the ships in game. Anything up to T1 battleship, or small hauler, or small mining ship are all available to Alphas (pirate included).
If you can tell what you want to use the ship for it’s easier to find a ship that fits the purpose.
Anyway, at 650+ m3 cargo you are looking at a bigger ship, since frigates top out at 400 without the use of cargo expanders. If cargo expanders are allowed you could get an exploration frigate like a Magnate far above that volume, but those don’t have as many high slots as you are asing for.
Are there any other parameters that matter? Fitting space, speed, cost or defences?
Anyway, take a look at the Gnosis.
- 900m3 cargo space
- 6 high slots, 5 launchers or turrets
- Alpha friendly (no requirements at all)
- All sorts of useful bonuses, so I hope it can do what you want to do with it
Other battlecruisers also have a fair amount of high slots and decent cargo space, but the Gnosis is the easiest to fly and also very flexible to use for many different purposes with all it’s different bonuses.

Ah the gnosis would be absolutely perfect, just looking for something cheaper.
Looking to upgrade my salvage ship, and was hoping to save time from going through the ship tree looking at everything.
Yeah just looking to upgrade my salvager, was hoping there might be something to save time looking through every ship in ship tree. If not, ah well.

Catalysts are popular for that role if you don’t want to spend extra for a Noctis. 8 high slots, 450m3 base cargo space and cheap.
If you can use salvage drones (I guess those are Omega?) you can also use an Algos instead for a full flight of drones.
Personally I like the Imicus. Only 3 salvagers, but bonused to function like 4, massive cargo for a frigate (400 m3) and bandwidth for 4 salvage drones, cheap and much faster and more agile than the other salvagers which is nice when salvaging in dangerous space.
Oh, the salvage Cata!! They’re still a thing? I remember when a game buddy gifted one to my main when she was young and the idea of a salvage destroyer blew her mind compared to frigates. (I think that ship is still in some hangar…)
I guess they are, destroyers make cheap salvagers with their many high slots.
It’s been a while since I saw someone salvaging though, but the last time I killed one it was a Catalyst too.
That cata might just do it, got +50 base cargo to the thrasher im using at the moment. Only need +100 cargo then I already have.
Ill be picking up better cargo expanders soon Ill pick one up and try it out
