ISK for BitCoin

I’m trying to raise support for an ISK to BitCoin conversion option. Maybe several dozen locations over the map to go to to trade ISK for BitCoin. It would only equate to maybe a few dollars a month in BitCoin but it would be accumulative for the player and the option would increase player retention and playtime as well as bringing in new prayers.

I’ve seen comments saying it wouldn’t be worth it because you would work years for no bitcoin return equivalent, yet I also play virtual land owner games like Atlas Earth and I’m bringing in maybe $10 a month now after playing for a couple years. I could see the same here.

Help me make it so.

No. If you want that, play EVE Frontiers. Crypto has no place in EVE Online. Crypto Bros have already caused too much damage to EVE Online as it is.

So, you spent years of the most precious and limited thing you have, your own life, probably your youth too, to get maybe $10 (?AUD, CAD, HKD, USD?) per month back? - Doesn’t sound like a good selling point.

I like games that are played for fun.

Once a game starts allowing players to earn real money it stops being a game and becomes a job.

I already have a job. If EVE goes this path I will find another game to play. For fun.

Just a little bit of eve history. at one time some folks DID buy their subscriptions with Bitcoin through authorized third party sellers. Diana Dial, if I recall correctly.

So somewhere out there next to someone who paid 7 bitcoin for a pizza, there is another person who paid 9 bitcoin for 1 month of EVE or a monocle ?

I do not know what the comversion rate was, there was an interview with Diana where she said that the Bitcoin volatility made for her making or losing money depending on how fast she cashed it in after the purchase, even if the time difference was ony a few hours.
