IT'S VOTING TIME!

I have finished my candidate cheat sheet . Yes, I know I’m late.

I tried to get to the heart of the candidates campaigns in order help players make informed voting decisions without having to read through walls of text or listen to 30 minute interviews. I did include subjective opinions, but tried not to misrepresent candidates. I also glossed over the null-bloc candidates, instead choosing to focus my research efforts on everyone else.

I do take this seriously, and intend to do even better in the following years. My goals are to:

  1. Get Started Earlier
  2. Budget More Time
  3. Send out Candidate Questionnaires
  4. Communicate with various player groups in order to report on their endorsements, sentiments, and support

I welcome feedback.

Not bad for a rushed job, thanks for taking the time to do that. However I think you’re a little bit biased. In the future you should be more neutral and conduct a fair and impartial evaluation of each candidates campaign platform.

Well, I definitely have my own values and priorities, but I try very hard to evaluate each candidate and their platform fairly. I think I did a pretty good job, but others might beg to differ.

Anyway, I tried modeling my work after my local paper, which does the same thing for their endorsements. They’ll include relevant information concerning party affiliation, experience, and stuff like that, then give their opinion on why or why not they endorsed them.

That being said, I also want to encourage voting as much as possible, and a politically neutral (i.e. objective facts only) cheat sheet might have better legs. So, I won’t stop giving my endorsements, but perhaps I’ll make a separate candidate fact sheet next time.

Thanks for your feedback.

Focusing on just their main points is great for a Candidates campaign cheat sheet. Basically it should be ‘Just The Facts’.

Now when you start doing endorsements with it then it becomes biased. I think it’s better to keep that separate.

Anyway, something to think about for next time. Also this clip is just for fun:

Voting should be 1 vote per email address, not 1 vote per account.

A player operating an 100 account skill farm could have a big effect on voting results and the candidate(s) they support.

That would make almost no difference. Email accounts are so easy to come by.

Only Omega accounts can vote.

This thread is very sad.

I had no idea email accounts were that easy. I am capped at 5 email accounts where I live, unless I pay an extra $50+/month for additional services.

gmail makes it easy to have multiple email accounts.

Welcome to the 21th century. Took you a while though.

Nah, I don’t live in basement like most of you. I actually go outside and enjoy life. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Another group of CSM’s to mess with eve to get their special interest group advantage. Gotta love it.

I’m passing this year. Still not convinced that CSM is needed and matters.

Let’s see if next year CSM manage to prove its worth.

I predict this game has perhaps a year or 2 unless they make it completely free like the test server.

Man, that’s a scam!
Tell you what, I’ll sell you THREE for just ten bucks!

That’s THREE addresses for just 3.33333333333333333333333333333333333333 moneys!

What a steal, mate!
