Sounds to me, that you’re pretty wrapped up in your own cognitive dissonance.
Adding a “ship to station” feature removes player agency from other people that do trading, shipping and even manufacturing. (Don’t forget piracy)
But the real reason is this:
You’re entitled. And you want it now. You don’t want to move your own crap around. You don’t want other people to do it for you, and you want it done with 100% safety with no possibility of loss.
I bet, that if I said, “it should take the game 1 hr/jump” to “transport” your stuff by this magical mechanic, you would balk at it and whine that that’s a terrible idea. Because you want “instantaneous” teleportation of your goods, wears, and garbage.
You are raising issues that i already responded to:
you are still going to have people who are taking the risk to move 500M or more in haulers to save the money it would cost to get NPCs to do it.
noone is ganking stuff with value under a certain threshold. so it makes no sense to force people to transport stuff around that will never ever get ganked in the first place
You can still arbitrage, maybe the spreads will drop, but because the logistics portion becomes easier you can expand to more products.
You are describing 95% of EVE players and its not like this feature will be free and its ok to have features where you pay ISK to reduce risk or increase convenience
Except you’re removing a mechanic in the game that many players enjoy doing. And would put corps like the “frogs” and push-x out by automating it with npcs.
