Jump Clones, implants, long distance travel

Recently returned after a decade. I want to access some PLEX I have in a station 40 jumps away.

The only ship I have with me is an expensive battleship that I have no clue how to use, and we are in 0.5 space. My current clone has expensive implants, and the station I’m in has a jump clone available with no implants. This station is my current HOME station. I currently have just the one jump clone. My Infomorph Psychology skill level is 3. Please tell me if this plan makes sense:

  1. set my home to the station where my Plex is at (1.0 sec space).
  2. jump into my no-implants clone here.
  3. destroy my clone, which will immediately transport me to a new no-implants clone where my Plex is at.
  4. use the Plex to purchase 1 Omega, which will upgrade all the alts on this account to Omega for 1 month, but only allow skill training for 1 alt at a time.
  5. wait a day and jump to my expensive-implants clone.

Does this work as I’m hoping? Is there a better way? Also, after I have Omega status, can I give some Plex to the Alpha status alts I have on a different account?

I just started a month ago. Plex is now stored in a Plex Vault. There is no need to ever move it around, it should always be accessible in the vault for all of your alts on a single account.

So are you saying it used to be stored in the items folder in a station? Strange that this wouldn’t have been converted to being stored in the Plex Vault when you logged in after the long absence.

The current norm now is to never, ever, carry Plex around with you. Keep it in the vault and don’t remove it from there.

It can be removed from the vault and i think long time ago, it didnt get automagically placed in the vault

Correct. A long time ago, plex didn’t automatically go into a special vault. Which is why I need to deal with getting to a place 40 jumps away.

Set the station youre at as death home, set the plex station as home. Create clone, jump, store plex in vault, self destruct rookie ship, deathclone back to starting point

Did you try to put them into the Vault remotely? Right click and checking the options? Didn’t try that yet, but I’m pretty sure that was already a thing years ago and CCP implemented this solution for this very situation.

Too late now! Good suggestions, though! I did try to drag it remotely, but I did not think to try right clicking! Oh well. I was able to get there via clone destruction and 2 jumps in a shuttle. I have no more Plex, but the Omega is back on, Baby!
