New to L2 and got this mission tonight.
Approached the survey ship and tried to ‘open cargo’ to retrieve the survey data which is the mission objective.
Message tells me I need specialised equipment to access survey ship.
What equipment?
Googled but no info

Eve-Survival may be a useful resource moving forward, as you can look up the mission prior to accepting/starting so you have some idea what you’re getting into, though I do note there doesn’t appear to be an entry for “Survey Rendezvous”, unfortunately.

I’m stuck too… I found the ship, coulnd get into the cargo hold woithout specialized equiments. Went back to base, fitted a data analyser… hacked the system but no ‘item’ to be retrieved.
The black box was also OK so I tried to shoot the ship but I do 0 damage, no clue what to do next…
the reddit thread i linked implied that successful hack put something into your cargohold, can you confirm/deny
Nothing there (easy to spot now since the red dots), also went back to station and not the ‘start coversation’ thingie popped up.
I even hacked the Survey array (before the jump gate) and also nothing there.
I only hacked things in the first week so I was really bad at it (needed like 7 tries), can it be that too many triesand the mission automaticly fails?
Hmm back in space near the Survey ship and the cargo/container like icon is very dark…
Same, this must be a new bug. Something that interacts with the red dots perhaps?
I’ve had the same mission for three days, waited for reset on D/T today. Successfully hacked both containers to find empty… somewhat tedious now
I think the mission is broken… If I get it again I am going to decline it
Submit a Support Ticket, CCP usually resolves mission issues pretty quick.
Same issue here. Been a 2 day mess around and nothing is there
Mission really is bugged. Tried to complete it for 2 days, contacted CCP and 5 minutes later its done. Dont bother with data analyzer, containers will be empty anyway.
As of 3/10/2020 This mission works as intended. Hacking the Survey ship lets you access the cargo and get the chip
