I received a GM reply stating that remote inspection for player-owned Online Structures does not display Structure Service Level and Structure State data currently. I believe this missing information is a critical oversight that negatively impacts daily industry, trade and security gameplay.
Main issues caused by missing data:
When checking hostile or neutral structures remotely, I cannot quickly judge whether the structure’s service modules are online, or if the structure is in reinforced/armor/shield state. This forces players to risk jumping into hostile space just to verify basic info.
Industrial players managing multiple far-flung structures need to repeatedly travel to each station to check service status, which wastes massive time on travel and reduces industrial efficiency.
For alliance defense and intel work, remote structure status is core intel; hiding this data weakens player intel tools without reasonable balance justification.
My feature request:
Add Service Level and real-time Structure State (Shield / Armor / Reinforced / Hull) to the remote inspection window of all player structures, consistent with the info shown when docking inside the structure.
This change will not break game balance, only improve basic QoL (quality of life) for all industrial, PVP and logistics players.
I accepted a contract worth 16.8 billion ISK containing 24 LSIs, but I cannot find them in my assets even after relogging. As I know the structure got unanchored just now, but I din’t get email that my LSI is automatically transferred into Asset Safety.
In fact, I inspected the structure prior to accepting the contract. At that time, the game did not indicate that the structure was abandoned or unanchored. It was only when I checked again several hours later that I was notified the structure had been unanchored. Could this be a game loophole? I am already aware of the special rules governing abandoned structures, so I specifically double-checked this detail before agreeing to the contract.
As far as I know, any structure that has entered the Abandoned state should come with a clear, prominent in-game label to mark its status. However, no such marking was displayed to me when I reviewed the structure before accepting the contract.
Not being able to remotely inspect hostile structures in your space is not a flaw of the game.
The current game allows players to put down structures without automated processes of enemies warning them of those structures and their modules.
What you wish for is for no structure to go unnoticed.
I do not think that is an improvement, except for those who wish to know everything about hostile structures in their space with zero effort.
It is up to the players to fly in space to gather this intel. Not to be fed this intel through the ESI or structure browser.
Industrial players can only use structures that they’re allowed to dock in anyway.
Those friendly structures are already visible remotely with all their services in the structure browser, so this seems to me irrelevant for your request.
It’s only hostile structures that do not show up remotely in the structure browser. And for good reason!
Oh no, are you saying people have to ‘risk jumping into hostile space’ in order to gather intel on hostile structures?
This is incorrect. You can transfer your stuff into the structure in space (i.e. never actually docking in there), then start a job from the industry window remotely (granted your skills allow for that). As long as you have materials and blueprints in the structure, you can start a job in it, even if you don’t have docking rights. I know, I’ve done it (just a couple of months ago).
Still, with how I assume you cannot access the goods you produce this way unless you remotely sell it or asset safety it, I think this is an exceptional case and that the vast majority of industrialists will be using structures they have access to. And those are visible remotely.
Yeah, absolutely. I did have to asset safety my stuff out of there once it was done. But that was what worked for me in that particular case. It’s not something that will work in the majority of situations.
