Launcher bug? Install location

Hi Vanguard Team,

So here’s the deal, I got access to the Beta via the opt in from steam / fenris games.

So here’s the issue(s)

  1. Steam opens up the vanguard launcher ONLY if you have the standard EvE launcher closed.
  2. The vanguard launcher goes to your primary eve online installation. So I have EvE installed on one drive, that is now full, but vanguard is on another. The launcher can’t find my other drive or the vanguard files

3 I did the alpha back in 2024 and it looks like the system is confused about which install to look at.

  1. Opening the new launcher just NUKED My existing launcher and existing eve files it now says my EVE online files dont exist.

It gets even better. The steam launcher recognizes the full eve online account and tells me to go get it on steam… when i already have it downloaded in full.

Ooof, I knew there was a reason I wasn’t trying Vanguard.

I got it all fixed last night.

I suspect the main issue is multiple launchers due to how the beta test is set up is one of the reason compatibility went out the window.

The other thing is, the launcher in it’s current iteration does not recognize multiple install paths. Example the Blizzard launcher has an option to find game files and make a new path for each game, the Fenris launcher doesnt.

ADDITIONAL LAUNCHER BUG

System would not Default to my omega character and instead made me create an alpha character. I cannot delete the alpha character on this. I know it will be wiped after the playtest, but this i feel is a bug.
