Hey, I got an error I cannot resolve. The (beta?) launcher tries to update the game but stops after few secods with an error message and retries again. This goes for more then a half hour. I restarted my computer, restarted the client several times. Also tried to ‘verify’ the client but this won’t start.
I had a similar issue a while back, did some research trying to fix it, tried a bunch of things, nothing seemed to work, however I think this fixed it.
In the ‘Shared Cache’ of the Launcher, try selecting ‘Fix Permissions’ option.
It opened a window and started doing something internally. I just left it alone and after a while it went away and my Launcher was able to update.
Well, this analogy is interesting. But after trying everything I googled I got super frustated that an update of the game itself broke the launcher and you cant do anything about it. So I investet this 30 minutes to download it again.
Well last attempt at trying to get this to work, paying for and playing a game shouldn’t be this difficult, this is my 3 times removing everything EVE related and downloading/ reinstalling, normal EVE runs fine but for me, the Vanguard part won’t work, bottom of the launcher it says downloads for EVE Vanguard online are not enabled, and another popup saying Tranquility server is blocked for updates. Not a single other post have I found where anyone is having this issue, I’ve cleared everything, deleted everything, ensured everything EVE is allowed through firewalls, my account is Omega active.
If this attempt fails, I’ll be cancelling payments and deleting this shite.
Server manager encountered an error Downloading for eve-vanguard is not enabled _ [ClientUpdateNotAllowedError]: Downloading for eve-vanguard is not enabled
