[Lifeblood] Refineries, Moon Drills and the Extraction Process

How did you get 0.53?
edit: nvm its the multiplier for the T2 rig. multiplier for T1 rig is 0.51.

This is what has been giving me migraines. Supposedly everything is multiplicative. But this multiplier can’t be multiplicative or nothing even comes close. Does it just flat out replace the facility base yield? Because that’s the only way I’ve been able to get it right.

Just trying to make sure my math is right in null if anyone else can confirm.

T1 rig Anathor = 51(base) x1.12(null multiplier) x1.02(station bonus) x1.15(Reprocessing) x1.1(Reprocessing Efficiency) x1.1(Specialized Ore Skill) x1.04(Implant) = 84.31 refining rate

T2 rig Anathor = 53(base) x1.12(null multiplier) x1.02(station bonus) x1.15(Reprocessing) x1.1(Reprocessing Efficiency) x1.1(Specialized Ore Skill) x1.04(Implant) = 87.62 refining rate

T1 rig Tatara = 51(base) x1.12(null multiplier) x1.02(station bonus) x1.15(Reprocessing) x1.1(Reprocessing Efficiency) x1.1(Specialized Ore Skill) x1.04(Implant) = 85.96 refining rate

T2 rig Tatara = 53(base) x1.12(null multiplier) x1.02(station bonus) x1.15(Reprocessing) x1.1(Reprocessing Efficiency) x1.1(Specialized Ore Skill) x1.04(Implant) = 89.33 refining rate

T1 Astrahus = 51(base) x1.12(null multiplier) x1.15(Reprocessing) x1.1(Reprocessing Efficiency) x1.1(Specialized Ore Skill) x1.04(Implant) = 82.66 refining rate

T2 rig Astrahus = 53(base) x1.12(null multiplier) x1.15(Reprocessing) x1.1(Reprocessing Efficiency) x1.1(Specialized Ore Skill) x1.04(Implant) = 85.90 refining rate

This is compared to the 87.52 reprocessing rate we were at originally for a citadel with t2 rigs and 84.28 with the t1 rigs.

As far as I can tell this is how CCP does their math but I could be missing something.

I’d like to know what you decided on to decide how to seed the moons, as you asked the community to contribute, but the thread was never updated.

dont suppose that someone knows the m3 volume of a collasal site to begin with?

I came back to EVE after the SISI mirror, so I can’t log on it :frowning:

that’s not how sisi works anymore

Long time player, First time forum poster.

I hate this new moon mining change. It adds a level of complexity and complication to the game that wasn’t needed. not at all.

99% of changes are good for game play, this one however is 1,000,000% in the wrong.

I know i’m only a single voice here; but my voice says this sucks, I don’t like it, and CCP should go change a different area of the game. Shame on you for making it so difficult, and financially impossible for players to access the moon materials side of EVE.

1,000,000% Unimpressed.

Or maybe this is because I forgoten my password when I come back and the new password isn’t knowned on SISI, but what ever i can’t log and this piss me off.

@CCP_Lebowski

Hello! My name is Ehrenrh Holst. I guess by all accounts my corp members credit me with anchoring, fitting, extracting, and exploding the first giant rock!

I love this game. I love my corp. I love that something like this is possible for a relatively small group of friends.

We were shocked, and absolutely as excited as a group could be when we heard about your announcement.

We saw in your clip. Both the announcement slide, and the screenshot. I was wondering if it would be possible to get a copy of those slides. We are wanting to fawn over them for a few weeks!

I was absolutely positive that I saw a Polaris frigate on my overview which I was really surprised about. I could not have imagined at the time that I was making a little bit of history.

Congrats on being the first one to fracture and mine a moon on TQ!
You might have briefly noticed me when I entered the system, as we were monitoring the first few extractions to make sure everything went to plan, and also to capture the historic moment
I’ll ask Lebowski about the slides when he gets back from his travels.

not sure where the maths is here but something is not right

t2 rig gives 4% bonus on raitaru and athanor

bonus on athanor is 50% and 2% ore processing bonous.

However this does not show when you get the figures in reprocessing actual ore.

how can an athanor have the same reprocessing base rate as raitaru when the refinery has 2% bonous?

PS we extracted a rock 3 days ago mined it and then had Siege Green hit station.

End of small corps doing moon mining now…

We are in the early days of moon mining, the first ones doing it are more likely to get noticed and attacked. When this gets more common and is happening everywhere all the time, mining ops in out-of-the-way systems on “unimportant” moons are less likely to be bothered. Attackers will have a lot to choose from.

I think you are right but, will it be worthwhile mining poorer moons.

My experience is that with even a rare moon ore there was similar money to be made mining in highsec without risk!

It took a fleet most of the day to get 500mil of minerals. I have done better in hisec in a day.

An exercise but I have doubts of the working of this unless moon-goo becomes seriously expensive or mining in safe area and that all adds to cost.

shouldn’t the the medium refinery base be 52% with the station bonus of 2% when the base in hi-sec is 50%?

Well, without rigs the base value for the Tatara is 51% as 2% is also a multiplicative factor (0.5x1.02 = 0.51) - same as for other modifiers for reprocessing. Similar for the Tatara: 52% base, if no rigs are installed (0.5x1.04 = 0.52).
The Athanor with T2 rigs in high sec should end up at 54.06% (displayed in the client is 54%), which matches the information from Verite Rendition.

Thank you for the explanation.
I recently deployed a Tatara and a few users questioned the bonuses.
I will pass along the information.

Then CCP needs to clarify when a percentage bonus is added and when the percentage bonus is multiplied in all descriptions in the game.

Really glad to hear you enjoyed the announcement, and congrats again for being the first! Here’s the slide from the presentation and the image of the explosion for you

The security status multiplier (hi/lo/nul) only applies when you have a rig. So if you don’t have a rig, you don’t get a nulsec (1.12) bonus.

So, two questions which might have been answered.

  • How long will the rocks stay in space?

  • When you make a longer extraction, do that just give more rock or bigger rocks?
