CCP won’t increase the bandwidth via a rig because then everyone would want for their ship size.

Intriguing idea, but there seems to be not as many draw backs as there should be for what is effectively a neutered carrier that can fly in high-sec. Several Draw backs that I thought of (It doesn’t need to be all of these, just on or two.):

1.) Can’t launch fighters without suspect
2.) 4 mids, not 6
3.) No bastion or assault modules
4.) Only 4 geckos, not five
5.) Warp speed of 1au/s

Making the carrier suspect in High Sec would make it vulnerable to anyone to attack it that might using it for Citadel bashing.

Six mids is necessary for improved drone, subverted drone and Gecko use.

Take away its ability to use fighters from a carrier.

Keep the bastion and assault modules.

Make it capable to support three wings of Subverted Drones of three drones each.

What exactly do you want this thing to do? Your last post mandated these things be loaded full of very shiny drones such that a carrier would be a smaller loss.

He wants it to be an overpowered pwnmobile in highsec and everywhere else.

Isn’t a CODE gank fleet an over powered pwn mobile in High Sec?

Bringing the Light Carrier into High Sec will give future carrier pilots a taste of what Low and Null Sector, lol, PvP is like.

Are you suggesting ratting carriers in high sec but you’re too cagey to come out and say that directly?

The gates won’t accept carriers in High Sec so the argument is irrelevant.

Did anyone mention anything about the carrier being immune to a gank? Mind reading is not real so until you actually know what the writer is writing about you make yourself less intelligent.

The Light Carrier in High Sec will allow Citadel bashing to go more smoothly and a lot faster as well as adding more PvP content to High Sec Citadel bashing.

Everyone cries space tears about Citadel littering in High Sec. Provide a means of getting rid of the litter and the tears just roll and roll until they form a great big blue…river. Or in Hebrew…but you already know that word.

-It’s pretty easy to see it would be very difficult to gank thanks to the slot-layout you have suggested.
-If you are having trouble at killing a citadel, I suggest you make friends. They can shorten the time to kill quite well.
-Adding a new ship does NOT just magically increase PVP because you want it to. It’s a ship, just like any other. It’s not going to be a bigger target than any other new ship is for a while.

You haven’t given a single good reason to add this thing into the game. It would do much more harm than good to the overall gameplay of Eve, so no.

This is the answer to 99.9999% of recent ship requests. People want some “do it all ship”. The other day someone asked for salvage drones that could fight too.

People said the same thing about the Force Aux. and look how they have improved the game.

Like I have stated many times over and over, eventually all of the players of this game will die. It’s up to the real players of Eve Online to ensure that the next generation can enjoy Eve Online as much as we have.

Adding new ships, events and mechanics ensures that a lasting legacy of the “First Timers” is remembered instead of being a simple throw away in the course of gaming history.

There are still issues with FAXes both in nullsec and in wormhole-space. They are not balanced. That is exactly the reason why your idea is bad. It’s way too good and unnecessary as a ship-class.

This is NOT a reason to add anything new into the game. CCP has said that they won’t add a new ship just to add a new ship. There has to be a niche for it. A valid gameplay-reason that the ships in the game do not currently fulfill.

If you want to be remembered in-game, do something worth being remembered for.

The valid reason for having a light carrier is create content of bashing Citadels in High, Low and Null so that players will want to progress to using a carrier and super.

The light carrier is the bridge to the carrier class of ship.

With Keep Stars appearing in High Sec that are being used as trade hubs around Jita, for example, to help keep the gank’s on players down at NPC trade stations not to mention creating a more lucrative wealth base for said alliance, that an alliance would want to have a light carrier fleet on stand by to defend their Keep Star with, as well as the attacking force having the same capabilities of attacking the Keep Star.

Alliances are starting to fight back against the rampant ganking of Goons and CODE at the trade hubs.

The light carrier will also add an advantage to the anti-ganker in defending against ganks in High Sec by being armed and able to defend themselves while ensuring the pilot is not on auto-pilot through the system which will make for pretty intense PvP content when five Light Carriers show up in Uedama with support ships carrying billions of loot through the region.

Light carriers would also come with a Clone Vat system as well…oh the fun.

Are there any situations where this ship would not be the most powerful option in high sec? Any at all.
