Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread - Part Deux!

Thanks for this local change CCP.

You have resolved the Rorqual multi boxing menace / problem. The penta boxing Rorquals can no longer use excavator drones and are reduced to being able to maybe use 2 or 3 and still have a chance at saving them.

This is a great thing! There are gate camps now and people actively working in groups to defend their pockets.

You have also unleashed the full potential of a dying breed. Covert Ops! whaling!

Thank you so much.

Rorquals can’t enter Highsec. Might wanna double check that before making claims.

Edit: Nice delete.

ā€˜This is a great thing! There are gate camps now and people actively working in groups to defend their pockets’

we did that any way… we are just doing that more now as pve/indy is for the most part dead inless your in a big alliance or an umbrella… both of which are the cause of the problem in the first place.

you want to know what happened to all the rorqual pilots? go look in high sec ice/ore belts… nothing changed with them… they still semi afk isk making. the only people this has affected are the small semi independent alliances as they don’t have the man power to blue blob or have an umbrella to have on standby 24/7.

you know what I mean don’t try to salt… rorqual pilots can fly orcas if you are not aware

and the delete was to tag the correct name in… if you look I repost at the same time as you did

I’m aware of this.
I’ve talked to a lot of the Rorqual pilots in my alliance and they’ve pretty much all told me the same thing.

It’s still worth the risk of mining with Rorquals because you make around 100m per hour mining in Nullsec. Compared to making 100m per day mining in High sec.

well you might want to go and look at the alliances/corps all the orca pilots are in/just left… then you will see where the influx of semi afk orcas in high sec came from.

If they’re okay with wasting their day mining for nothing more than 100m isk of low value highsec ore, that’s really their perogative.

I’ll be here in nullsec still making hundreds of millions in ISK and not being scared. :woman_shrugging:

Turns out some people don’t have the skin needed to handle change.

ā€˜Turns out some people don’t have the skin needed to handle change.’ Breaking News! not everyone in null is bedind a blue blob and umbrella wall… you should come out from behind that wall some times and see what null is all about  … but I guess it ā€˜Turns out some people don’t have the skin needed to handle change.’

Please tell me where I should go and what I should do. I’m always open to new experiences.

like I just said ā€˜you should come out from behind that wall’ … there is lots of null out there it will be easy to find some space that is out of umbrella range where the smaller alliances live… … idk if you will find many people active there during the blackout though other than gatecamps.

Oh, you just mean roaming. I already do that. You can check my killboard. Most of my fights happen in places beyond the umbrella. Is that all you had in mind when you said ā€œsee what null is all aboutā€?

Because I think I’ve got that box already checked.

ā€˜you just mean roaming.’ if I ment that I would have said that… try living there…

Small alliances outside the blocs mostly doing fine, you even see how first groups start to attack sov in some regions now. Normally they have a strong pvp core, and can handle this blackout kinda good.

If you mean with small alliances the industry focused renter groups which pretend they are independent. Yeah, sucks to be one of them, but no loss if they go back highsec.

I already do live in null.

I feel like you were trying to be smart with that comment of ā€œsee what null is all aboutā€ but then realized you didn’t really know what null is about yourself.

I would love to know what sov your talking about? … if you mean the sov in the east and north you might want to look into that change more.

and no im not talking from a renter perspective

ā€˜Most of my fights happen in places beyond the umbrella’ you live in null? or you live under an umbrella? there is a diffrance.

Just look around in the old NC. and Skillu Territory

They were there even/way before blackout.

ye like I said you might want to look into that more.

yes there were but there has been a lot more show up since the black out.
