The idea is a killing game!
That was a great game on the Amiga
Thats the most beautiful sight ever.
Already in the past tense! And soon, the whole project with such diligence, the developer will end it faster!
Sorry man, Im sure you have a point, but google translate is not being your friend.
So, adding something to the game to reduce isk generation, that does not affect the largest isk generating groups i the game currently - You see as a good move by CCP?
You see; the biggest contributors to the biggest problems in the game right now are -
- CCP do not understand how the game is played, by who and or why they play.
- CCP has continually introduced things to the game that players from around the world have said will not work as intended, yet CCP ignore the players and release anyway, only to find out a few months later - Players were right.
- Again CCP has gone off half cocked and introduced yet another thing to nulsec that will not affect the problems they are trying to address.
Yes crabbing is down a bit, yes there has been more kills than usual BUT it is not affecting the bottom (or in this case the top) line - ISK generation. Even IF blackout works and isk generation drops it is not going to affect the big groups adversely - It will drive more players and small groups to join the blocs, which is exactly the opposite of what the game needs.
CCP is creating a sandbox based on, Risk Aversion = Winning (or at least not losing)
The game needs conflict drivers - Blackout, IS NOT A CONFLICT DRIVER, it is more like a conflict reducer.
So I guess my JF sits idle because i shouldnât have more than 2 or 3 accounts? I can use 8 or 9 characters in a day just to move a JF load of stuff.
I donât want to have to rely on others giving up their leisure (game playing) time to help me play as i choose.
I am fortunate to have lived long enough and done well enough that I no longer âhaveâ to work for a living. Although even when i was still working full time, I ran 28 characters over 15 accounts, trained to do different things, simply because doing that i was able to optimise my play time.
Iâm sorry you can only manage two, I know when i only had 2 or 3 accounts things I enjoy doing were a lot more difficult to do.
NB; My newest account (this one) was created mid 2013, if you wanted a highsec hauling alt and lived in a nul alliance, you created a character to do highsec hauling. Because i do a bit of highsec hauling, I needed a webbing alt to web my freighter off gates to reduce the risk of ganking. I fly JFâs and Capitals - because i fly them I needed cyno alts to move them around - See how you can, by playing different aspects of the game (over many years, coming up to 15 for me) grow to need more accounts/characters.
I know many others who have a lot more characters/accounts than i do, just so they can play Eve the way âtheyâ want to.
Iâve never said I am quitting - I did say I may take some more time off until CCP finds a reliable way to get the game back to something worth playing - Talking to and Listening to those who have dedicated years to the game just might be a good place to start.,. Going off half cocked with a âlets try this and see what happensâ hasnât worked so far, why would this latest half cocked, hair brained, ill though out plan work?
CCP has a long proven track record of dumping the worst (for the game) changes onto TQ with little to no foresight and even less understanding of how those changes will work in the hands of players who combined are far smarter (at turning things to their advantage) than the Devs and management at CCP headquarters.
Why are you sorry I can only manage 2 accounts? With those 2 accounts I have still had the best gaming experience of my entire life. At no point was I looking for any pity I am perfectly happy playing in my limited way.
My point wasnât to state that you should or should not have 15 accounts with your Eve game, My main point is to be aware that if you own lots of accounts you may become overwhelmed or frustrated when CCP makes changes to the game. Have 100 accounts if it pleases you, just donât complain when the game becomes harder and impacts your ability to run that many accounts.
Yes, they should play the game the way âtheyâ want to. They should also acknowledge that there could be flaws in their play style if the mechanics of Eve should ever change.
My view is that you have bitten off more than you can chew and you are now complaining because you canât have Eve exactly the way âyouâ want it.
âWe donât want to ruin THE game, we want to ruin OUR gameâ -CCP
TBH local probably isnât coming back, you should either quit or learn to live with it.
Sgt Ocker, your last kill was in 2016.
You are leader of a 2 person corperation.
The corporation ticker is SPIA.
Wow, itâs almost like people can have alts or something.
They have no data. Their excuse of a data is just that: a poor manâs excuse for devs without balls
Actually their data is very simple.
- have log in increased?
- are they making more money?
And when this is all said and done with, they will see they are losing money and losing players with no way to get them back unless they get some balls, apologize for this debacle and go hide in their hole until the players tell them what is needed
and by the way, instead of screwing with null sec operations, they should have done one very simple thing: create a brand new and efficient tutorial
I canât care less for data and those numbers presented as triumph of the Blackout idea. I can only say from my experience whatâs going on in our turf:
When it started, the blackout did generate more PVP derived from those pre-mapped groups (peeps with geography experience and bookmarks) until soft targets docked or left. It is important to note that there is more work from any incoming entity: they donât have local and donât like at all, having to move around just to find out that the system is truly deserted. Dotlan is showing so little activity here, that no one is coming in. Those few seeking soft targets have lost their game too. They donât want to work for it, period.
After 3 to 5 days, it vanished with those soft targets. PVE is reduced to a couple systems, instead of 6 â 10. Honestly, there is nothing to see here thatâs worth the time and effort to find nada.
Now, there is near zero PVP other than SOV grinding and the usual but decreased in numbers roaming gangs⌠but less frequent than before (40%). We are seeing less number of pilots incoming while we are almost stable defending (yes, our PVP wing has not quit but the incoming PVP fleets have less hitchhikers which are not much into PVP).
We are waay down in production. We live close to empire and even though we have less soft target seekers incoming, well the miners are always the first to abandon. Our area is not high value in resources and we have upgraded it at a loss now due to the Blackout.
This situation is not financially sustainable. We will soon begin reducing our radius, which is far from great atm. We canât figure out a way to lure indy players and I donât think they will come back here. That type of gamer and career is out of the question in this environment.
In essence, itâs really hard for me to see whoâs celebrating this thing. For what I see, it began affecting a second type of gamer⌠those soft target seekers are feeling it too.
Actually it sounds like CCPs apparent plan to make null require active defense, instead of passive is working. Have you considered Lo-SEc?
Working would be ⌠if more than half were happy⌠I tried to show a reality. And itâs not peachy for not just us.
