Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

they should have streamlined it over 5 years ago and just do it slowly but not by killing the essentials

:] I don’t mind being crucified as long as it leads to progress lol, tbh I would prefer if any structure being reinforced takes on the same timer as any structure a few jumps away so that if multiple structures go in reinforce they all come out at the same time hahaha.

also true. i still think it’ll be better without the ref timer, and leaving them for high value targets like citadels

good idea

See now that’s a decent idea right there. Though keep that ā– ā– ā– ā–  outta wormholes. We got the short end of the stick on asset safety.

Never lived in a wormhole before so wont be able to comment there xD.

i actualy did but after they made recon ships invisible for d scan i left

They might change that back now thou who know’s, maybe they will make cloakies appear on d-scan or something I have a feeling this is far from over

i actualy asked them in the q and a in amsterdam and they are thinking of changing cloaky mechanics but could not / want not give any mroe information

i’m former null, just left wh, largely due to the pain of no asset safety, that hurt way more than i expected. currently in hs in a holding pattern until i decide where i’m going next

if you want to do pvp go galmil they can use more soldiers fighting for the federation

actually thinking of putting together my own trig hunter corp, with a view to eventuallyā„¢ migrating to null

Pretty awful for your group of 50~ indy capable pvpers to have 150 null dudes come in and kick over a few dozen of your structures while being incapable of saving anything cause the nature of wormholes means you can’t evacuate anything from the system. Leading to the near total annihilation of any resources and ships you didn’t get a chance to export beforehand or manage to pack into a freighter or two to log out til hostiles have left and you can begin anew.

I’ve always wanted to a wh but it’s not feasible with the amount of people I fly with atm, but yea I can imagine how having everything to loose could be exciting as hell and nerve wrecking at the same time.

Although I hear the amount you can make from WH’s is amazing so at least it would be posible to make enough to only invest 20% of your total assets at any given time in that worm hole so that even if you loose it all you have still gained in the long run.

Which is how I feel nullsec would be now, it would be so profitable that if you only invest 20% of what you make into keeping the system it could be a decent type of semi nomadic lifestyle.

With no local though how will you know the cloaker is even there…

our corp had 30ish structures in that wh alone, i lost about 10 bil in blueprints, i was lucky that i didn’t lose this clone, i have about 2 bil in implants …

this isk in wh is nice, but comes at a huge risk

Ouch man that sounds painful, out of curiosity why so many structures?

I’d be happy if either we got full asset safety like k space or if lowsec and null got theirs cut. Was pretty annoying to hear wormholes got shafted when they were introducing it. But that’s what happens when CSM is mostly null and most null residents assume we’re all HK and are goon level loaded off high class anom ratting. That’s like the top 15% of WH residents.
