Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

I’m skipping CCCP’s assumptions about spoiling great ships …
I have been playing this game since 207 and I can say with full responsibility that, apart from the development of civilization, the improvement of graphics will create a whole lot of new ships, etc. this is a positive development,
but interfering with the basics of EVE and coming up with some new rules of the example game, the emergence of a mod that removes the target is just one example of discouraging the game.
Once Motto Eve on line was simple "Be Free, Kill or Die and today it sounds: be Free But under a few conditions read info what we spoiled in the next patch, we added nonsense in modules, etc. It’s not ANY EARTH, but DESTROY.
I wanted to ask:
Do young people under 30 with emotional problems sit in the EVE Team?
Because if so, everything is clear.
Gentlemen and Ladies responsible for the future of this cult game, give up idiotic ideas in the interference of the basics of the game,
restore the original rules of the game, give us FREEDOM !!!
writes this news is not for you to criticize it is simply:

can i have your stuff?

Everyone else might be loosing asset safety too btw I saw a hint somewhere cant remember where I saw it, it seems CCP are moving eve to high reward high risk instead of low reward low risk, which is a lot more fun thou :p.

Moon mining is where a majority of wormhole isk comes from nowadays. My Alliance had 56 structures in our main hole at one point. 48 were Athanor.

I kinda wish they gave you guys some good moons in wormholes thou, they are pretty bad compared to null moons.

You need an Anthor per moon, and if you have ever moon scanned a system, 30 isn’t a terribly high number.

Basically our Asset Safety is winning the field after the citadel dies. EVERYTHING drops in containers when the citadel dies. Which I’ll admit has led to a shitload of fun when it comes to reshipping and small fights as the main fight goes on.
Between that and having limited mass on wormholes (the biggest still only fit 4 caps at max) Null is still nothing like wormholes. It’s more forced small gang and subcap fights with a dash of caps for spice.

As for isk in wormholes… oh yeah, it’s good. With the right group you can make just under a billion an hour. If you want to solo it with a 2+bil marauder you can clear more but the risk level for that skyrockets. If you want to talk wormholes though, hit up any of us wormholers, we’re generally always willing to talk about Bob’s blessed space.

we were in an out of the way C1 (lowest class) and most of us had alot of sp in mining and industry, so we figure ‘how else are we going to get guarenteed mining’ and started adding more and more moon mining to the system, we had about 2/3 of the moons being mined, now there are like 3 left + 1 fortizar

Great, now we just need to make sure you need to risk a carrier to gank a carrier, and remove all structures from wormholes to equalize risk-reward there.

Scheduled for next month: CONCORD Blackout

All of you posting stupid ‘see ya then’ and ‘can I have your stuff’ comments miss the point that the vast numbers of null sec ‘krabbers’ are the ones that make most if the stuff you buy so a significant reduction of that plus the huge numbers of players unsubbing and not playing for the foreseeable
Future will impact you all if the game slowly dies.
I have played for 10 years and poor decisions have led to a slide in player numbers and stupid gameplaying ■■■■ like overpowered drifters and now local have just killed my gameplay choices so - 4 accounts unsubbed - well done out of touch CCP

We get null quality moons a lot of the time. We average much better than lowsec but just below null. We get both null and lowsec ores but we get large concentrations of said lowsec ore when it comes up. The moon goo ore is completely worthless to us though as it’s hisec type and it can’t be compressed so exporting it isn’t worth it.

Did anyone knows which pay model NEAR2 will get?
Sub or Lifetime ?

And the next month after that: targeting other players blackout.

Would totally resub for that if it stays.

I lived 2 years in a WH and I liked it but it’s a different life made of scan button, cloaks, checks all the time before doing anything, it’s not the casual gamer time spending. You are very wrong to think this is a small change, it will influence the game way too much, cloaked ships will be the way to go everywhere, interraction between players in same system will drop, activities in belt (mining mainly will stop completely), players with one account will not want to play that game where they can’t put any scout out to feel secure and no big asset will be risked anymore so better trash your rorq and such from the list of available ships. If I wanted to have no local then I would have stayed in WH. Open local is the way to remain and stop listening the little roaming gangs and such trying to say that it’s the only way they have to play and get someone ganked. It’s not the aim of the game, if by allowing them more you kill industry and the will to build things then just trash the game, because most of the game mechanics are made so that people build things and find their way in. For once give some love to people taking care of building things / getting ressources instead of that Madness. Any change to local MUST be followed by immediate other actions such as hidden belts that requires scanning and same for anoms. Let’s be serious you can’t give all the sweets to the ones that just want to ruin it so that they have a better killboard. Honestly just after the Drifters nonsense thing, you should have kept it quiet and fix the damn bugs for a sprint or two (I hope you are in agile now ?) (and btw here I was not complaining about having drifters but how ridiculously strong they were)

I’m not sure if you have tried to gang a carrier but every time our group has tried we are not able to kill it fast enough before help arives got very close once thou and this is with a small strike group of 15 people.

Maybe if the carrier is very poorly fit with 0 tank then yea its very posible to kill it with few people but if its fit well then its a different ball game all together.

Eliminate structures from high class wormholes you mean. Class 4 and below make peanuts compared to the top 15%~ who dominate 5s and 6s and kill anyone else who tries to set up shop there. HK for example evicts nearly everyone they come across in 4s, 5s and 6s

On contrary - it’ll become safer for explorers to wander around Null via wormholes whereas before they were instantly spotted by perfect local intel. Newbros will only benefit if they are brave enough.

Mining will stop? Have you been to a wormhole recently? Multiple corps have athanors on every moon. We’ve got over 20 and we’re a PvP corp.

You should have a scan ship with combat probes out scanning the system to work out what is where.
Maybe slots could be allocated from the Citadel that does combat scans to a set distance and this data is available by a ship module connecting back to the citadel. I would imagine outside of basic ship scans this is how real space would play out the bigger the scan array the further you see.
