Meh people don’t simply roam with a super carrier force.

They don’t.

So do you need a super umbrella? It doesn’t hurt, if you have a couple systems 3-4 regions deep in the Spire or Paragon soul, its unlike someone is going to swing through with anything that you can’t defend with regular caps.

Its not impossible to watch likely must points. I have spent a large amount of time doing just that when LSH liked dropping left right and center when I lived in Fountain, simple neutral alt in a bomber sitting there in space and waiting to see when they were going to show up to jump, because there were only two systems they could use to get at us from Aridia.

Its easier now, jump ranges have been chopped in half. So most of the time all you really have to watch is the regional gates. Any real big-dick force is likely to have to gate it there.

Really?

The problem with the no local is not that you cant defend that specific space sov. Most of the time players dont care abaut the sov they are just hunting for pve stuff. If you get cought in a shiny pve ship most of the time you cannot do jack ■■■■. Maybe rely on neut, jammer -was nerfed- or friends if they are fast enough. The active cloaky gate scouting is also not sufficient for example against hunters from wh or cloaky campers with cynos who went there maybe months ago. You see most pve hunters dont wait for the response to arrive. They are just doing hit and run and there is not much to do abaut that. If you arrive in time maybe you can camp them in which is still not fun becouse they just log out.

My biggest promblem with this is that risk/reward ratio will not be correct in null compared to wh space. In wh you get extra reward forthe “extra risk”, even thought you can completely control the wh entrances and monitor any movement which provides a pretty safe environment if you are doing it correctly with a group of people and you dont have to worry abaut cynos at all. In null however you have fixed gates. You cannot control/monitor all. Incoming whs are unscoutable until they are literally on top of you and last but not least you can be dropped out of nowhere which is not the case in a wh.

There’s a reason they’re empty… some places have only a few belts, so getting the index up to 1 to install an iHub module for anomaly spawn is just not worth the effort when other, already developed system is available. Other places are pipe systems and nobody wants to have to dock up 30 times an hour, which means their index is as awful as their ISK/hr.

Want hurt ratting? Make the military index’s tied together in a constellation in some way so that the whole area has to be utilised and not just the pockets.

Only if you live in a c5/6, and I can tell you there are lots of people living in other wormholes then those.

I did not say they weren’t any bot killing going on, but not much as I would expect if this was an explict counter to bots. What about bots in high sec?

As a point of order you can be pretty damn casual in low, NPC stations all over the place, no really need to set up infrastructure, no bubbles, no bombs, no doomsdays.

Easy to make isk, easy to find PvP and no need to roam 30 odd systems to find a non-blue.

Hence level 4 access to alpha’s getting turned off. The numbers of plex-bots in FW is way down as well, that was literally game breaking as those plexes determined the balance of the warzone.

if they did that first. Or added a structure, first then this would not be an issue. I would even support a delay in local but outright removal ■■■■ no

Not quite. Wormholes are less likely to appear in Kspace and frankly watching a gate is really simple. So a majority of the day your fine. Especially since you can just roll the hole in a couple minutes easy and be done with it. With wormholes you need to crit the static and pray to Bob that a T3 gang doesn’t fly in through one of the several dozen new entrance that show up suddenly every day and ruin your mining/anom running or have someone collapse your static with the new one being somewhere high traffic necessitating a roll OP til you can find a “quiet” exit. It’s dramatically safer to operate in blackout null compared to wormholes.

This makes total sense, nullsec was always supposed to be high risk high reward. It is by definition the least secure of the K-space and as a reward for operating in this risky environment offers greater bounty to those who are willing to accept and work with the risk. However the massive amount of effortless intel provided by local chat ruined that dynamic. Nullsec alliances effectively solved EVE by making use of this powerful free information. It’s unfortunate that people are threatening to unsubscribe, I think ultimately this will be great for the game and players will see that. Economics has a concept called ‘misperception theory’ by which economic actors misperceive a change in the entire economy as either an increase or decrease in demand for their own specific product. Similarly I think players largely focused on mining and farming in nullsec are misperceiving this change as specifically hurting them. No doubt it will make what they do more difficult but it should also mean that player groups who are willing to rise to the challenge and adapt will be rewarded as output drops and prices rise. After all, you don’t have to outrun the bear, just the other hikers.

Even critting the statics is risky now that you’ve got frigate-sized ships capable of doing hundreds of DPS each roaming around. They could still come through a crit hole without collapsing it.

But for anyone who’s convinced that it’s safer in wormholes, just start PVEing in a wormhole. Seriously. Wormhole space can always use more people in it.

This is the same bunch that are buttmad because they may have to spam D-scan.

Huh? All the plex purchased through the ingame market were already purchased by someone with irl $ than put onto the eve market.

Best update for cloak droppers.

It makes sense. Definitely.
