Why is your income so much more important than someone else being able to attack you?
Yep. But so what? Mining shouldnât be safe.
Hunting miners shouldnât be safe, either.
Because itâs his.
Just like your being able to attack him is more importantâto youâthan his income: because itâs yours.
Its not though and never has been, thats kind of the point being in someone else space⌠save to say these miners etc wont undock to help each other, and on athanors now too wow they can hurt!
But ye whilst being in some larger alliances the amount of times ive gone in to help or save a miner and they all dock up and leave me to my fate; hate that about being in big groups - these guys are the first to call for help but the last to do anything to actually help fellow alliance members⌠or even keep their space safe.
Even now instead of planning ahead, to help keep their fellows and themselves safer or more protected what do they do? dock up/threaten to not even log in⌠honestly, are these really the sort of people you want in your alliance?
What are they good for other than tax?
This doesnât really make much sense. Iâm forced to fit my ship in a manner to attack other playerâs ships, but he can both mine AND attack?
See? Here he just wants a single laser that can be used for both.
Why should he get such flexibility over everyone else?
It shouldnât even be safe to hunt a solo miner, out in Great Wildlands.
Itâs not perfectly safe to hunt miners. Miners have drones. Can put scrams and other ewar in midslots. Maybe even friends in support ships.
But without local (which is the topic of the thread) no one will know if you have friends or not. +Risk
Youâre forced to fit your ship in a way that get you the performance you want. So is he. Just because his strip miner can do 1/50th of the damage of a Medium Pulse Laser I w/Standard M doesnât mean heâs a combat god. It just means heâs a little less personally defenseless.
My point is: his income is more important to him. Clearly, itâs not more important to you.
its as unsafe for the miner as it is the hunter, not sure the point you trying to make there?
Just curious, where did he say this, or are you just making things up?
Must be a really slow week for your business, considering the constant supply of smack talk youâre providing.
Even a ratting ship can kill someone who drops on them. Why canât a mining barge at the very least damage an attacker? Give them lasers middle of the road destroyer damage at least so frigates canât solo them. Kinda silly for a frigate to be able to, completely one one-sidedly, kill a mining barge with more health than some cruisers.
He hasnât given any numbers. I suggested that his mining laser should be able to âhull mineâ. But it obviously wouldnât be at anything resembling a decent rate.
he does have drones thoughâŚ
You ser ave never killed an oracle with a merlin b4!!
Also havent lost several brawly frigs to procurersâŚ
Hmm. Light drones VS a well fit frigate⌠Then after a laughably quick engagement itâs completely defenseless hull VS well fit frigate.
Then thereâs no point to a mining laser doing damage.
He does. So what? Heâs got basic drones, vs your bonused weapons with low-slot mods to improve your combat effectiveness.
Whyâs it so important to be able to kick someone who canât effectively fight back?
Sure there is: heâd feel less helpless, so heâll be more likely to be out there in the first place.
The Local Comms Blackout in Null is definitely a must need. Long gone are the days of intelligence networks simply watching local for chancers that come in and then send the intel through the pipe.
Now alliance intelligence will have to actually work, Null will become a throng of fast scouts darting in and out of the darkness reporting on local activity. Fleets from both sides will be caught unawares as they suddenly find themselves on a gate facing each other.
The comms black out will be great times for Black Ops, finally.
Tickle usâŚdo we not laugh?
Prick usâŚdo we not bleed?
Wrong usâŚshall we not black out local coms?
