Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

Dont spread misinformation! Zkill was down to support the blackout - that is a fact. Zkill admin talking about kill delays was just his wishful thinking/proposal to see a reaction and discussion.

Very interesting  thanks for the info mate I hope you are right. I really like how free instant intel is being considered and removed, eve in generel would require more skill and more specialists :].

Some one should make a remake of this song " SARGON ~ (Parody of “Starboy” by the Weeknd) ~ Rucka Rucka Ali" -> about CCP  or lets ask him to make a remake?

Btw I’ve always wondered law wise, how come the npc factions have no problems with capusleers using Titans/Supers in low sec, its the equivalent of someone moving a nuclear bomb through a city lol… no npc faction in their right mind would allow that.

so for all here in the Forum … free Hugs … its a game

Go read zkills post on reddit.

I’v now had a few people come to me to let me know their taking a few days out after being in constant fleets, PvP is good but I guess people need the chilled out down time just spinning a haven or shooting a rock gives and at the moment that’s not rewarding them with the same chill game experiance so their off playing something else.

Personally I am enjoying the PvP, but when PvE characters make up the bulk of the user base’s activity then I worry that when the dust settles were gona see a fairly large drop in characters, also already had players let me know their alt’s will be going alpha because they cant have it out mining any more while they pvp on their main.

When Eve was more violent they had three times the subs

PvE be ■■■■■■■ boring

It’s only boring to PvP players who ONLY want to PvP they see PvE as a chore, something they need to do just to buy more ships so they can PvP, but with every coin there is another side, for every one of you, there is probably 10 PvE players who see PvP as their chore that they need to do to stay in their corp.

the one who suggested it - the enemy of this game , you do not see the enemy under his nose , well , in the end there are other games

Yeah I have done every form of PvE this game has. Generally its pretty boring unless someone is shooting at you.

You should probably re-read it. Zkill was definitely dark for the blackout, and it absolutely has not been delayed. The post literally ended with him stating that he hadn’t even begun to write any of the code to do that, and it was merely a proposal.

Does killing miners in Nullsec make any sense ?

Blackout is great for pvp, but realy worse for miners.
In my case ( wardec & blackout ) i have no choice to go anywhere without a lot of losses.

thanks ccp… will not extend omega

Of course it doesn’t. Why would anyone want to interfere with the resource gathering activities of their opponents? That’s just rude.

I noticed that online while I was playing, it sank by five thousand, probably from the good changes that the CCP introduced.

Killing Miners in nullsec 100% makes sense as its a form of economic warefare, preventing your enemy from building more ships.

The reality tho is that PvP players kill miners cos it gets them salt and their easy kills for the most part, I mean come on Pro PvP players are clearly not gona focus on ■■■■ that can blow them up as well, they of course are Pro so will hunt stuff that has less chance of killing them.

OK…wrong Question xD

Does killing miners by CCP in Nullsec make any sense ?

Getting killed sometimes is part of the Game xD

OMG the poor babies, how terrible, it must be just awful for them that they can’t AFK mine while PVPing on their main.

Why don’t you have your corp mates run protection while you mine? It is Zero-Security space after all.
