A simple purpoise can remote cov and kill npc, i know i have doing that for my first two month in ns.
Even easyer if you have more than one barge… And for tell, i never put tanking on my cov… Drone region and it worked just fine.
A max spawn will have 3 queens.
A wrecking hit to a standing barge will do 300% damage.
Covetor has to stand, because it can’t hold ore for ■■■■, and either cans it, or uses fleet hangar.
Should I do the math in this thread for the 36th time since friday?
I’m not really sure why you would solo mine at all, and if you were going to solo mine, I’m not really sure why you would do it in a covetor, given the ore hold size.
That’s just the wrong ship for the job.
They are perfectly capable of mining in null with a porpoise supporting them, however.
yes, please tell me the chance for a max spawn, also calculate the remote reps in from a porpoise, plus add the chance how likely it is that these three queens shoot at the same target if there is more then one ship is on grid. Ah right don’t forget to the wrecking hitchance which is only 1%.
Btw. Covetor could orbit the fleethangar ship, rock or the can if you want. But thats stuff only retards do, so just skip that.
I didn’t say it could mine, I said it could tank.
In -0.87 it will eventually happen within a day of mining. And a dread too.
300 per 8s, meaning 60-80 ehp/s max. One queen is 80dps without wrecking hits.
I said “capable” - it’ll take two queens out of three to crit, and boom.
Yep. Retards will do that and not be able to warp out in time, which takes 13s for Covetor from a stop, and may take twice as much if realigning from full speed. Would definitely not risk increasing warpout time.
And lose the whole point of Covetor (which is yield) in process, for what is yield-fit Retriever tanking capability.
You sit your lower skilled toons in a covetor and throw ore into a Rorqual. Its cheap, easy to get into and expendable - If you get attacked (pvp) you off-line the disposable covetor pilots and online the combat toons.
Mute point really - as from your previous posts you are just sitting in a station too scared to press d-scan or have a response to being dropped on.
Get good, Get friends or Get out of Null - Go to Jita to do some station trading as there’s no chance of being attacked there !
It’s interesting how many covetors are dying in nullsec, because this means they’re being used in nullsec, which is supposedly impossible.
Further, it’s interesting how many nullsec covetors aren’t being killed by NPCs.
It’s also interesting how whole fleets of them are often being killed by a single person… almost like they were AFK or something.
so it will eventually happen, since you forgot to tell me how high the chance is that all npc shoot the same target i guess we can agree that the chance is somewhere between “eventually” and “unlikely”
not really happy with your performance so far, i think a bigbrain like you can do this far better.
Nobody knows the exact chance except CCP. All I know that if you mine in -0.87 (and I haven’t mined in a system that good since like 2016) then within 5 hours session you’ll be visited by a max spawn at least once.
It’s kind of adorable how someone is furiously reporting and flagging posts that show just what kind of smoothbrain Orca here really is. I wonder who that might be. A puzzle, conundrum and riddle, that is.
he is the mattani
Don’t know what you think of this whole Blackout thing - some people are obviously scared of not being able to PVE grind/mine - Personally I’m finding Null more exciting than it’s been for years
I’ve been quite vocal about loving everything about Blackout. It’s the first sensible thing CCP has done for damn near a decade.
Problem is, it’s nowhere near enough to actually fix Eve. Very drastic measures are needed to stomp out Rorqual mining power, the vast fleets of titans and supers, etc, and there’s so very much that needs to be done before Eve isn’t self-destructive as hell.
The specifics will take many pages to detail, some of which you can find in Arrendis’ posts, some of it in FW discussions on /r/eve and so on and so forth. It’s to put not too fine a point on it, far beyond the scope of this shiptoasting thread, where I primarily just shiptoast until the autolock.
i find it boring.
What is really happening in an area of eve null is
A war wages against FRAT an the FRAT Allies therefore some areas of null space go very dead for many hours in eve .
Until the groups return to the home systems …
Nothing have changed in null other than looking dead an empty.
Many alliances only post kills manually, my included. We do not post lost barges, ofc.
Hell, I can see a moron miner undocking a venture and losing it to NPCs today in corp losses, ffs, people, how hard is it to stay docked?
Within full align time of a Covetor, a single stealth bomber can kill two of them, I remember a shitspan video where he got 3 Covetors on field in wh, and after being a scaredy cat for 10 minutes, finally attacked and killed two despite them starting warpout fairly fast. Extremely fragile ships being killed in numers, who would’ve thought?
And you can’t be afk on a Covetor either - under decent boosts it’ll overflow in two minutes, gotta manage them cargoholds, and a miner worth his rock salt would have multiple of those (usually Hulks though, which makes issue even worse) on field, meaning non-stop cargohold-rock-laser management action, and unless you like your netflix at 20 seconds per minute, then no, it won’t fit either.
Killing the little guy that is all , the Major Corps are still safe zones I went out to PVP once but the rat race and so on has not been bothered once, go team Umbrella lol.
CCP’s always been bad about minimizing variables. That doesn’t change the fact that you can’t look day-to-day for this.
No-one is suggesting that. The Summer of Skills is the summer promotion. The Blackout is a test.
Good News™! The Drifters stopped their big assault nonsense over a week ago and are back to only showing up when you shoot lancers, or in JO systems with an Unidentified Wormhole.
Seriously. The Drifters are not doing crap in this. The whole ‘it’s because of the Drifters’ is nonsense.
Yep. Nullsec is totally safe for hunters now.
Really. Stop peddling the bullshite. It’s the normal annual summer promotion, and is way too involved to have been thought up in response to entirely predictable initial system shock numbers. You are being dishonest and need to knock the crap off.
So you live in NPC Delve, ok. and you’ve run into bubblecamps. Let’s see… your neighbors are either Imperium, or QFC, and I don’t really see either of those groups running away from a bubblecamp over 1 ship.
And the randoms have disappeared?
Good. They can stay the hell out of our space.
It’s pretty accurate, yeah. The useless dumbasses like Orca who don’t contribute to PvP fleets can get fukked. We’re fine down here, and this will only help us in relative power terms.
Still do. You just need to keep dps drones out and assigned, maintain a reasonable tank, etc. Costs about 40M, and it’ll handle blood raiders long enough for the CAP to intervene while you bounce. If you’ve got a single rorq in the group w/boosts and a CRSB, you’re even better.
the align time of a covetor is 12.6s, the rate of fire of a for example Hound with 3 BCSs and heated Polarized Torp launcher is 5.15 Seconds, and a volley of 5547 with Rage (other bombers are similiar). An unfit covetor has 7.95k EHP on its weakest Resist.
So no, a single bomber cannot kill two covetors within their align time.
Orca, you know the mods check the things you’ve flagged, they don’t just automatically delete them because you can’t handle honest critique, right?
