oh so your’re right then - a covetor has all kinds of chance and utility to defend against a bomber in null. you literally have two choices - sit there and hope your CEO srps you for being brave and stupid or you warp off…neither of which is riveting content for the defender really.
That is what a defense fleet is for. Reship and join them as they fight the attackers.
And even if the gameplay consisted entirely of instantly exploding, it’s still a damn sight more riveting than mining is.
Shows 12.9 for me, plus inevitable reaction and command lag (definitely more than 0.1) - already put it close enough. All you need to do is bump the second one, and it’s done.
oh my fault, it is 12.9. Well, yeah you just dropped it in without any specifications. And that is just wrong.
If you now want to add that one is getting bumped ok. I say the covetors are prealigned then and both get out.
EDIT: yes, launcher heated and even polarized
The thing about covetors is their inability to be prealigned, already explained higher - they can’t spawn new cans fast enough to not overfill, and have only one midslot thus no webbing shenanigans.
He’s mostly likely trolling…or sincerely among the least imaginative players we’ve ever encountered. Meanwhile groups all over NS are slowly learning the tricks…how to fit to stay aligned AND on your roid most of the time. How to disperse or trade down to barges when risk becomes high. How to rig their moon factories to quickly kill tacklers (it’s quite easy) and keep them manned. It’s not hard in the least–but might be to one-dimensional players without imagination or obsessively risk adverse. Happy hunting !
I really want to like this post. But you used ‘risk adverse’. Conditions are adverse, people are averse.
eve rip
This, basically.
Honestly, Blackout is kind of making me want to nullbear a bit again. Now it actually sounds like it’d be both a little bit of a challenge, open for a lot more competition, profits and fun. Every time I hardcore beared in the past it just got so freakin’ dull so freakin’ quick. Too easy, too samey, too boring, and just plain old uninteresting and lacking challenge.
I’m not trusting CCP to actually follow through on this, so I’m not going to invest in it just yet, but there’s that slight chance that this might mark the turning point to Eve being fun again. Both for PvP and turbobearing.
Zkill is getting north of 70% of killmails. This is easy to check by simply counting the KMs in ZK history files and then comparing against the difference between the minimum and maximum killID contained within.
So, it’s a majority of the killmails, and, unless there’s some reason to think that alliances who typically lose covetors are disproportionately under-represented within the zkill data, this doesn’t actually matter - it’s an adequate sample.
Within full align time of a Covetor, a single stealth bomber can kill two of them, I remember a shitspan video where he got 3 Covetors on field in wh, and after being a scaredy cat for 10 minutes, finally attacked and killed two despite them starting warpout fairly fast. Extremely fragile ships being killed in numers, who would’ve thought?
You should probably have checked the link, because when I said “whole fleets” I did not mean “two”. I meant things like, say…
5 covetors, 3 miasmos, and a procurer: Related Kills | 4S0-NP | 2019-07-17 07:00 | zKillboard
Or…
8 covetors, 2 miasmos, a porpoise, and a VNI: Related Kills | 4LB-EL | 2019-07-17 04:00 | zKillboard
And you can’t be afk on a Covetor either - under decent boosts it’ll overflow in two minutes, gotta manage them cargoholds, and a miner worth his rock salt would have multiple of those (usually Hulks though, which makes issue even worse) on field, meaning non-stop cargohold-rock-laser management action, and unless you like your netflix at 20 seconds per minute, then no, it won’t fit either.
You must have missed the subtle nuance. See, I italicized “…afk or something” for a reason. Specifically the “something” is an insinuation that these particular fleets were most likely botters.
After all, as you just noted… you can’t be AFK on a covetor, right?
But then, you’ve also asserted that this wouldn’t really impact botters.
Hmmm.
Curious.
We’re only 1k down from this time last week now. So… yeah, it actually is. Not even a full 7 days in and numbers are rebounding.
Don’t be silly. Bots aren’t affected by this.
oh that guy, he was funny, took normally less then a day until he blued my campers and after a week he payed me 10b to leave his bots alone
Because you would usually warp out your Covetor before it dies to NPCs. Tackle spawns are rare and may be cleared first, or just randomly lose tackle (they do not have 100% activation chance on their abilities), and zing, you avoided a loss. Since you can’t afk in a Covetor anyway, that would be my #1 reason why NPC killmails aren’t so often.
I said that blackout would impact botters less than people, which is 100% true. If “staying aligned” and “perfect attention” can save you (hint: NOPE) then bots are better at it than any human, thus nothing wrong here.
As if finding a malfunctioning bot and killing it didn’t happen before blackout.
I am being the protagonist an the pessimist for i say
DEATH TO EVE ONLINE
THEN all these accounts can depart to live in the real world instead of the delusional imaginary world therefore be productive members of the real world.
What the blackout so much then remove the complete eve online chat system throughout all of eve online therefore people will only use third party applications to communicate with in chat anyway…
Want a dedicated PVP then here the arena style PVP server is coming as a Tech Demo
hmm looks as is potentially in speculation another sever dedicated to pvp?
no not really!
However do note that with the new CLOUD back end with that company an OS the lag in theory should be far less often if not zero lag at all…
DirectX 12 needs to hurry up an arrive because DX12 is more efficient in large scale threading and rendering than previous versions. Far better performance on Multi-GPU rigs and works far better on the laptop gamers.
The blackout is boring nothing have changed in eve online by not having a instant local in null very boring.
numbers are up. score 1 for skillpoint give away. well played CCP
all bots just getting free SP this week
Once again: the Summer of Skills is clearly not a response to the Blackout. You do not come up with a multi-layer promotional plan to be enacted 4 days later on the fly on Monday morning after only 3 days of a test you knew would see an initial drop in player activity.
It’s summer. Every damned company out there does summer promotions to keep people from going outside, or to get their money even if they’re going outside anyway. Please stop spreading blatantly false conspiracy theories. We have <300 posts left in this topic, let’s stick to reasonable conspiracy theories, please.
Edit: in addition, it wouldn’t impact the PCU, because you don’t even need to get your character in-game for it. Just get to the login screen, claim the stuff, and close the window.
That should be the new battle cry of all the new nullsec migrants taking over the salt mounds that krabs leave behind.
