Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

there are many threads for that already. Why would you create a new one? To flood/spam the forums?

So instead of people seeing my idea, I have to have it be buried under mountains of trolling-trash with 1,000 replies all yelling at each other about how their Krabs itch?

No thank you.

This thread has a legitimate purpose.

I had unlocked level 5 mission agents and I think that might have lots of risk, but level 4 missions is very low risk when doing them in a 0.9 system. Collect the tags and contract those tags via Red Frog Freight to Jita for around 33mil and safely sell your cut for over 200mil for a few hours a day running missions and having fun in what you want to do.

idk it might not be a lot but more fun shooting at NPC’s than mining asteroids.

0.01% is higher than 0.001%, that is true

…ooooor! It’s the blackout one that was organized around such conveniently placed campaign so potential drawbacks on player count (if any) could be mitigated? How about that!

The Alliances & Corps would police themselves if it cost them ISK when one of their members got banned for using a Bot

See, that’s a more reasonable conspiracy theory. My personal favorite is that the parts of CCP don’t speak to one another well, and don’t coordinate worth a hill of beans, especially when Hilmar gets a bug up his rear about shaking things up (like he’s had since at least EDU).

And this period w/out an Invasion World Tour event gives them time to do it.

Look at the KB, look at the point. See who farms and how many kills. and if you knew how much it was before, you would not have written such a thing.

Sure, sure… yawn.

Damage control at its finest.

It’s still CCP right?

CCP should have ended botting so long ago by changing the code or whatever , evcn a random inspection craft where if you don’t respond to it from concord the player gets a stiff fine and there ship impounded could have been done, but some people I guess felt it was to much work

I guess they didn’t have to come up with a new promotion as its the same one they used last year …2nd week of July… or the year before that … or the year before that …or the year
(a pattern seems to emerging here)

If you look at the history of summer promotions maybe they arranged the blackout to be released before one of their regular annual promos… more likely don’t you think?

But then they would have to have had some idea it would upset players - That means they may have said to hell with bad feelings it’s good for the game !

And it so happened they planned blackout to perfectly fit with that promotion, and totally not because they expected an extremely sore reaction from players disgusted by the removal of risk from ganktards?

I mean, do you sincerely believe blacking out at that exact moment is a coincidence?

As mentioned before you cannot gank unless loss of ship is 100% guaranteed, by Concord via a criminal act in highsec,

I think they are less ganktard more predator picking off the slow, dumb or infirm prey.

Natural selection…
