I’m pretty indifferent to your shrieking. Pretty sure it takes several flags to hide something, too. Have you considered the possibility that people are just tired of reading your nonsense?
an bot in highsec won’t inflate the isk not as much as a vni bot, also a actual mining barge/orca bot even requires omega unlike said vni. So even if they all move over, it would be a huge win.
Wew, looks like I struck a salt mine!
Really, what you write does not make any sense.
I haven’t said it will. But CCP has been told for a long time, that making this change will make things better. If you want to know what the people who’ve told them that think it will change, you’d have to ask one of them.
Well, first, removing local doesn’t use up three extra of the last 36 replies in this thread for FOUR responses to the same bloody post.
Second: again, you’d have to ask the people who told them it would fix things. For my own part… I like that it removes the perfect intelligence. I like that it introduces uncertainty and allows people to actually move covertly. The fact that someone doesn’t know I’m there to be hunted, unless they do some minimal amount of work? That means that as long as I’m doing the baseline minimum to keep myself safe, I’m safe.
Look, I live in a crowded place. There’s a lot of people coming and going, and any one of them could try to kill me. So I have to always be aware of that, and always have it in the back of my mind to be alert and aware of dangers around me. That’s just how life is here… in a crowded modern city. Cuz I wasn’t talking about Nullsec there, I was talking about New York.
Doing the base line work to not get yourself killed should be necessary in nullsec. It’s not safe. It’s not supposed to be safe. And I don’t just mean as a ratter or miner, though I do both of those. I mean if I’ve got 100 dreads sitting in a mid-point, someone shouldn’t be able to rip through the system in an interceptor and report ‘100 reds here’ if they didn’t do any work at all to ferret that out.
At the very least, they should need to d-scan to see WTF is going on. If we’re all cloaked up, why should they get to know we’re there? Imperfect intelligence provides options. And there are ways to counter the loss of local. Gate scouts. Combat probers on overwatch for new people coming and going. Communicating with your friends and neighbors—which is a big one. If you’re living out in null and you don’t talk to your corp/alliance mates, you shouldn’t be out here. If you live out in null and you’re not willing to jump in a combat ship to help defend your space, you shouldn’t be out here.
Perfect intelligence undermines that need for cooperation, for interdependence. We saw that with dotlan’s ability to provide perfect timer intel across the game: recon groups, the people who for years had tracked timers and movements across the game, atrophied in a number of orgs. And now we’re seeing that Local, too, undercut a lot of that. We see it just based on who’s thriving in this environment, and who isn’t.
In this case, ‘perfect’ is definitely the enemy of the good.
It’s not just ‘finding’ the bots, it’s learning about the bots. Seeing how the scripters respond. If you can predict their responses, you can get ahead of them. You might even be able to build bot-hunting code of your own, eventually.
They haven’t hurt nullsec at all. Not one. Little. Bit.
If you’re out here as a solo player looking to PvE, get out, you do not belong in sov null. Stick to NPC null, and keep an eye behind you.
If you’re out here and you don’t contribute to the defense of the people who defend you, get out, you’re a freeloading parasite, and I’m tired of carrying your ass.
And if this change gets those freeloaders out of my space where they’re not losing billions of ISK every time we go to war, because they’re too damned stupid to stop ratting or mining with expensive toys when nobody’s there to protect them? Good. We’ve spent years cheering their deaths already.
Oh I see the Reditt posters are here writing “nonsense”
People are tired of you too
don’t see how that’s a win, orca can pay for plex easy afk mining in high so nothing changes other than a lot of casual players leave null or worse the game.
And was also obvious that whoever told that is an idiot who’s got his only interest in ganktarding.
CCP has done stupid ■■■■ before, and they have done it again, time to admit it.
Only applies to umbrella nullsec. The rest of it is murdered.

Hi, I’m a Director in Goonswarm. We’re actually paying attention to things, and we have a long, long history of actually having a clue about how changes and trends in EVE Online work and develop, unlike, say, the idiot brigade in here screaming about how horrible this is. It’s why we’ve long advocated removing supercaps, even as we accepted the necessity of building up the biggest supercapital force in the game, and so did.
Now stop spamming to hit 10k and try to shut down people pointing out what a goddamned asshole you’re being.
i got 10000 i HOPE free local for the Little guys lol

So, just wondering what people are thinking in regards to the big “changes” and how they are affecting the game. Saturday’s player count is down about 10% from last week which seems counter intuitive considering all the hype Eve has been getting lately.
I’m dying to know the big picture (Null) and what the tops are thinking/doing but I’m too small to have any ears there.
So, what are people’s thoughts and predictions for player count today(Sunday) and the next week or two?
I guess the 20% of bots lefts the game and 10% of people unsure about resubbing just resubbed.
That’s only a random guess though.
Just as random as people claiming “killing newbros help retention”.
Randoms such as CCP Rise?
I personally was surprised to see a drop in Saturday’s numbers…10% is a bit scary…
CCP rise did not claim it.
Random such as people distorting his presentation to propagate lies that were explicitely stated as such by CCP.
I personally was surprised you affirm that. Such nonsense is scary.
But yeah maybe things need time to adapt. We can’t foresee future, and only hope that CCP won’t make the same mistakes you make all the time. The good thing is, they already know “correlation is not causation” and that’s a good start to make a correct analysis. Maybe killing newbros local removal will be considered to have a negative effect on Eve, and then we need to check if adding it again is better. Sometimes people just don’t like “change”, whatever this change is. And since Eve as a MMO is bound to change or die, I don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing.
