I had just added large blasters to my training queue as currently just have medium level 4 trained.
On a similar note let’s find out if @ AxlTgnome has that trained as we doubt it to be true as we’re trying to work out the constant requests for 2b isk and guessing it must be for something important like injecting Skill Points in to complete the level 5 large blaster!

He would use it to shoot at the asteroid of course.

Meh…you just need one of these. Cheap and nasty…910 DPS overheated. Even my alphas can fly a 700 DPS version, which needs only 2.2m SP. For us wealthier players, these are as expendable as Catalysts, but tankier and more DPS.

Nooo…you don’t want large blasters which ( even with that fitting which increases range ) you can only get to 10km with Void. You want those Heavy Pulse Laser…20km range with Conflag, with just as good turret tracking…or 37km with Scorch. The drones deliver 200 DPS of the damage, and have a range of 46km. Its 910 DPS for a skilled Omega…but the main point of the ship is that…surprisingly…an Alpha can fly it, with those T2 lasers, and still get 700 DPS out of it…with a mere 2.2m skills points !
So your promotion is Amarr technically? I am not going to accept that and it has nothing to do with your Pilot.
