I am new to eve online and have yet to find a gas cloud to harvest I am seeking friendship in someone who would be willing to split profits and let me tag along to learn where these things are.

Gas clouds can only be found in certain parts of space and require you to find and scan the signature.
The type of space you’re in also determines the type of gas you can find, with different gas appearing in null sec space than in wormhole space.

Personally I huff gas whenever I’m scanning for data and relic sites in null sec and come across a gas cloud while doing so. I swap from my scanning exploration ship to a gas huffing frigate and empty the clouds.
It’s quite fun and profitable!

As they already said, you need to scan and find them.
- I do NOT recommend you to scan/huff in lowsec (LW) or nullsec (NULL), they will gank you for sure.
- I DO recommend you to scan/huff in wormholes (WH). Ok, someone could gank you, is true, but there is a lot more chances to be in a gas cloud alone, that being surprised.
Also, take in mind, once you start “huffing”, after some time, rats (NPC) will show up. If you have a good prospect you can just go around meanwhile you huff and receive some damage, but if not, just jump to another place.
PS: Remember to check how wormholes works, if you just go in, without marking in your mark where the hole is, you wont be able to find the exit again, unless you scan again the sector. And that usually takes some time.

Like others have said, you can find Gas sites by scanning with Core Probes…
Every once in a while I’ll find some Gas sites in High Security space… Unfortunately those sites aren’t very plentiful in High Security…
