Id love to get a few ships back then if this were true. My experiences have said differently though, both on the fire hydrant and the dog sides.

Really? I find it hard to believe. I never lost a pod after gank nor when undocking from Jita and warping somewhere and I do that decently often.
That because the victim had to re align before warp.
pod is insta warp from standstill.
Think of this more in the sense of making it as difficult as possible to get caught. In 99% of all cases, it should be fine.
And Murphy’s law states, that it only goes sideways, whenever it is the least expected and most upsetting.
That’s what I’m saying though. Even if the align time is slightly over 3 seconds, most of the time it should be fine. Close enough is usually good enough. Your odds of screwing up and dying anyway with perfect align time are roughly the same as the gatecamper’s odds of perfect execution and catching you with 4 or 5 second align time. Fact is that gatecamping is really boring. People start chatting and drinking and become unfocused.

With high sensor strength, help of remote sensor boosters, low ping to the server and a good reaction time it is possible to instalock sub 2 second align ships.
You can’t however catch a sub 1 second align ship like the hecate which is insta warp. .2 seconds is not insta warp.
DO NOT assume what I do or do not know.
Many say it’s possible to tackle a ship that aligns in under 2 seconds, but I have yet to see any video proving it. The only person who dared to show it was using scripts—you could see the mouse hovering over one part of the overview, while the ship appeared in another and auto-targeted itself. I’ll believe it when I see that video proving it. (I’m not factoring in lag issues… obviously).
Videos can be manipulated though, so would that really be sufficient proof? 
Personally I’ve been caught in an Ares that had a <2s align time by a remote sensor boosted frigate and their remote sensor boosting friend in HS while carrying a bunch of valuables to Jita as a naive newbie who thought he’d be safe from war targets in a <2s align ship. You can find the loss in zkillboard if you wanted.
Since then I haven’t considered <2s uncatchable, only ‘reasonable safe for most purposes’ but made an out-of-corp hauling character to avoid gettibg caught like that again.

Travel via Rancer/Miroitem. Lately they have gatecamp that can catch 1-2sec align almost 24/7.
Perhaphs he should head on over to Rancer and record it himself.
Ahbazon too, several times a week, and I never get pointed in my 1.6 align Sunesis. Maybe you should stop downloading porn while playing EVE Online or get a VPN.
I went a lot through Abhazon, half the time gets SB, almost never a pointer at the gate.
Your ping has nothing to do with your align time, it’s all server-side.
Yeah looks oddly similar.
Maybe him drinking too much Quafe+ lead to his personality breakdown.

Read what I wrote, there is a difference between a gatecamp and gatecamp that can catch 1-2sec align speed. Go to Rancer/Miroitem,. Ahbazon is not setup for this usually. That is why they didn’t catch you yet.
Ignore him, he is a day old alt of Felix Frostpacker, the Frostpackers having ZERO PvP experience other than in their own heads.
Especially since it’s just the random appearance the game gives you. I’d love to see the video when it exists—it’s curious how such a heavily debated mechanic doesn’t have a single legitimate video in 21 years, and the only one available clearly shows script hacks being used. 
I see you ignored my previous invitation that you can find your own proof that <2s align ships can be caught.

Do you see that scan resolution? And this is not even overheated yet.
Bring the scan res high enough and you can tackle even ships that align in 2 seconds if your own ping isn’t bad.
