- You claim there are players that dont want to PvP.
- You claim there arent “interesting ways” for you to force them into PvP with you.
Wat?
Wat?
Yes but care bears are a consumable, once you use up one batch a new batch comes along.
And they all have the same ideas and the same reasons but they think their ideas are new
This are toxic attitudes which are killing Eve.
Damm, that was exactly what they said in the old, old, forums.
I claim there are players that dont want to pvp, since only one data point is required to prove this claim, I dont want to pvp and hence it is proven true.
I make no claim that there are not interesting ways to engage people in pvp, either my statement wasn’t clear or you misunderstood it. What i meant was that, while there are already interesting ways to engage people not wanting to pvp, that if non-wardecable corps are added to the game they need to continue to be combat engageable in other ways.
With regards to this conversation, CCP has made it clear that the people actually are leaving permanently after being wardec’d in significant numbers and never coming back. Would it not be better to not only, ‘consume’, a group of players now but also again in the future rather than once and never have the opportunity again.
Also, every person that permanently leaves EVE, permanently hurts CCPs pocketbook and hence their ability to do more with EVE. Let me be clear here, people permanently leaving all by itself should not be justification for changes to EVE but couple, significant and in CCPs words shocking numbers of people permanently leaving EVE and an uninteresting, game mechanic and we now have a problem to solve. Again, ill state here that not only did CCP believe the game mechanic is in need of adjustment so did members of the CSM.
Seriously. Here is the issue, PVE players (ala WoW, SWTOR, etc.) come to play EVE and refuse to accept the basic PvP realities. They even come knowing EVE has this “bad” reputation. I don’t know why they do this. Then a few months later they quit. Some are worse, they stay and selfishly try to change the game to what they want, even if it will destroy the game.
It was never the right game for them in the first place and the ones that leave are just accepting that reality, wisely.
Short of totally reinventing EVE it will never be the right game for them because the graphics will never compete with WoW Clones. It needs to support 1000s of players in one place, not “100 and spawn a new instance”.
The only thing they can successfully do for sure is drive away their 15 year customer base.
Off course they leave, it is a PvP game and they don’t like PvP.
DUH
But again, CCP is saying this mechanic is hurting EVE, not just some random forum guy. While you might normally be able to be dismissive of, ‘this is killing EVE’ comments and surely this is an overstatement of fact, CCP has made it clear that the wardec system is killing off some of EVE and in such numbers as needs a repair, possible so much in need that a sooner rather than later approach to the problem might be justified.
If you are laughing at this matter at this point it is purely from a bittervet standpoint and not justifiable given both CCPs internal investigation and the CSMs response to that internal investigation.
This is a distortion of the facts and a denial of CCP and the CSMs own information on the subject. You can maintain your bittervet stance but know that changes are coming no matter that you dislike it, so get your head around that fact or just keep on crying ‘salty’ tears into your beer.
Eve is a pvp game
People leaving do so because of the pvp
Therefore they leave because of what EVE was built on…
That’s a fact
No, that is nothing but a symptom, more shallow thinking.
Part of the problem is allowing new players to create corps in the first place. Then they spend a lot of $$$ and next thing you know these new players have a structure and are sucked up to a high sec ice mine wondering why they are getting wardeced.
Some talk ■■■■ in chat like it is WoW and there are no consequences, then they wonder why their little “vanity corp” just got wardeced.
Some post dumb ■■■■ on the forums with their main, vanity corp wardeced.
And on and on and on.
You can’t fix stupid with code.
Like I said, the wise ones quit. The selfish ones refuse to leave…
I correct you.
You’re welcome.
CCPs own internal information states that while people that dont like pvp do, in fact, rage quit CCP is okay with this BUT the wardec system is so broken and lopsided that CCP MUST make a change to it, you can choose either to cry and whine and kick your feet about it and clutch onto this bittervet stance and by so doing let people like myself dominate the conversation, thus increasing the likelyhood I’ll get what I want and you won’t or you can contribute what you would like CCP to do and possibly get what you want, the choice is yours but make it carefully if this issue is important to you.
Everyone Versus Everyone is still a pvp game
Just look at the killboards…
You seem to be projecting here
Oof
Again, hold onto your bittervet stance, im sure it will only hurt your cause in the long term. You are literally doing my job for me by hoping against hope that CCP will do nothing.
I will state here what i have sometimes stated in other threads, comments directed at me that are not worth responding to because they essentially bring nothing to the table will not be responded to, this statement covers all such statements either coming before this statement or those coming after.
Denial is not a river in Africa
As much as you hate it, we’re right
