Jump gates are just jump bridges remade… assuming they have fatigue anyway. If they dont it’s a critical flaw but I cant even start to imagine ccp letting them go live with no fatigue.
Which means zero impact on the game.
This is getting rather tired a line to trot out. Oh look it is a variation on the “stabbed in the back myth”. CCP brought out numbers to a null-sec dominated CSM. In that picture alone - no carebears. No one has said anything about recalling players that have left - what exactly being said is better retention.
The numbers are good? 40% decrease in high-sec player activity?! Will you be following the targets out into null? Didn’t think so.
One key argument from belligerents has been war-dec are necessary to destroy structures. You won, structures are necessary for destruction in a war-dec. Not exactly what was wanted - its in the ball-park. So, Victory Lap?!
Do you think your imaginary friend might end his retirement anytime soon. Maybe 15 pages of dribble on INN might make a valuable insightful contribution to the discussion. I think by this stage we could all use a good laugh. Considering how much the game has changed since CODE was first formed. Static and stale and boring. If you were not beating your own drum, you’d all be forgotten. You were once on the pop-chart, today you are the Rick-Roll of New Eden.
They dont.
And read the rest of my post. If they dont it will be a colossal mistake.
Actually no, CCP has never lost a word about this having something to do with retention. That’s just the usual “think of the children” mentality of you carebears that projects that where they basically just said that people close and flee corps like the cowards they are because CCP made that an attractive option to dodge wardecs.
I think I might actually miss you and your humorous posting when you are gone.
Mr Epeen
I don’t go anywhere as long as I have fun playing this game.
So from war-dec a corp stop, the players log out for the week. But its now observed players stay logged out. That’s paraphrasing, but covers the matter. Players that do not log back in, are players not being retained.
This idea that the game should only have an Elite standard of player is tripe. Games cater for multiple tiers of player ability. How that can work in a single-shard environment - I have no idea.
Idea for a t-shirt. A couple of catalyst outlines and framed by the text: The ganking will continue until retention improves. I’ll give that one for free. (unless someone else thought of it first).
Moving new players away from the action will most likely hurt retention. And no, just because the current carebear meta is to logoff for a week or drop or recycle corp does not mean there is a retention problem. It’s CCPs fault that corp recycling was deemed a non- exploit.
Keep telling it to yourself… some day even you might believe in that
It’s all in the studies CCP did where they ACTUALLY talked about retention and not just corp activity.
oh those studies that used poor data and was done half a decade ago? how relevant…
Actually no, Quant this another set of them more recently and they showed the same results.
anything done before the new data mining system is now outdated and irrelevant so “your” study is void
The only thing that “new data” said is that players quit corp if wardecd. I could have told them that without metrics. And no it dosen’t make them obsolete, You just would like that to be the case because the data goes against your carebear agenda.
Slight correction. It was that the players went less active and STAYED less active.
The data did actually indicate war decs were causing a serious issue.
Since if someone is less active they form fewer links with people, and those links are what Quants data said kept people around the best.
But you aren’t claiming there is no issue with Wardecs, so not arguing with you on this, just pointing it out as a note.
keep projecting you gonna get far doing it… I have no agenda I only agree with what CCP said and well let me tell you this… you guys already lost so keep crying.
So you’re going to be always online to trade things from your personal hangar to your friends because thats what corp hangars are for, shared resources etc, the same for corp wallet divisions, things like POS cannot be anchored without being in a player run corp so how would you propose wormhole players manage with your plan about trade windows exactly
Did you just say there isn’t a problem with a new player logging off for a week “because its what the meta expects”?
Let me give you some life advice for free.
Don’t go into making video games.
Meanwhile at every larger video game company than CCP they pay people to get people to never log off games.
Yea lets go 180 degrees against what EVERYONE else is doing, that’s a real key to success.
Read what you just quoted. Then think about your reply.
