Another “No sense” idea for PVP experience, but I guess that will make EVE more realistic.
You mean by throwing out an actual anchor on a chain?
Emmmm … just don’t wanna "see four giant containers with 122m of length printing a structure with 259Km of length "
You haven’t really explained what you want to change here…
Nah, then he’d just complain that you can’t have a 5000km long chain in such a small vessel.
So we would need to drop the anchor and then drift back on the solar wind and set it?
How you figure out the correct scope?
I suppose we could measure the Z axis off the primary orbital plane of the system?
Like a jumbomini-game?
So what your saying is rocket physics to determine a non decaying orbit around a celestial. That’ll definitely stop 99% of ppl from anchoring.
Kerbal Eve Program here we come!
Clarke’s three laws:
- When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong.
- The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.
- Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
Having those 4 containers be the foundation for the entire structure is entirely plausible.
