Make autopilot usable or remove it entirely

Uh… tedium isn’t a difficult word. If you don’t find long distance travel in EVE extraordinarily tedious, it probably means you don’t have the mental capacity for boredom. And here’s a thing… by any definition of the word, “boring” is anathema to the word “game.” I don’t understand why EVE’s players insist on the game being boring. It makes it a bad game.

I always thought becoming bored indicated a lack of mental capacity.

Some people enjoy chess and test cricket. Who am I to say they are not games?

Your unwillingness to accept the potential negative consequences of using Autopilot does not make it unusable.

And if you actually understood the root causes of boredom, then you wouldn’t write such nonsense in the first place.

Bingo! But hey, let’s pretend that people who are bored aren’t just addicts on withdrawal.

Well, maybe autopilot was not a good feature many, many years ago but nowadays… when EVE is slowly but constantly dying? When there were more than 100 k players online maybe it was dangerous. But now with roughly 10-20 k people playing and half of them just alpha newbros on unlimited trial ?
You can travel dozens jumps and all you could see are rookie ships everywhere  You can safely make coffee or even eat a dinner meanwhile :slight_smile:So- LEAVE the autopilot IN PEACE.

Autopilot is some what safe in high sec… chances of getting destroyed while using it is slim.

Autopilot is suicide in null sec. People sit and wait for those kind of targets.

lol nope. 23 jumps in null in a mega, found no one.

Depending on the time of day, you can do that. I wouldn’t try that during prime time (6PM-midnight GMT) on a weekend.

That time was never. Never was the server count anywhere near 100k players. Not even half.

You’ve pretty much demonstrated you have no idea what you’re talking about. The classy thing to do would be bow-out of the discussion.

Explain the autodock feature - thanks.

What percentage of players uses it regularly? If less than CQ was used, remove it, and spend saved hours of keeping it not broken on working on 64 bit client like is the plan. :joy::joy::joy:

right click in space, instadocks, warp to 0, then activate AP.

Warp to bookmark im instadock range. While in warp, add station as destination and press autopilot. Watch as it automatically docks as it exits warp.

Really handy if you have to dock multiple criminal alts where you otherwise have to mash buttons in the right moment.

Or when you dock in Jita IV-4 and don’t want to get nado-shot on arrival.

Well, as you have just show, it is you that has nothing to say and you only troll here. It doesn’t matter if there were 100k or 50k online years ago. Everybody got the sense of my post, except you. But your nickname tells us who you are.

Just deal with it. Stop being bad…

I can’t imagine how useful autopilot is in lo-sec because I don’t go there, but I use it all the time in hi-sec.

I could have sworn the last record breaking log in amount for concurrent users was back in 2009/10, I think it was Alliance Tournament 7 with supposedly close to 80,000 people online. Could be wrong but for some reason that’s what I remember.

Anyway, after a very short google search I found this statement by CCP Explorer posted on 2012-12-09:

The current record cluster-wide is 63,170; how about we try and break that? Currently there are 51,849 online, just need some 12,000 more pilots online. I have faith in you.

Not true. 2 years ago it hit 52300 I think. I believe that to be just over half.
