Maybe EVE isn’t the game for you.

First off, high sec ganking is supposed to be illegal… I got ganked in 0.8 by morons claiming I haven’t got a permit and I was acting like a bot ! WRONG I got called away from my computer by a REAL LIFE crisis and as such I did not have the opportunity to dock anywhere or the time to do it… And talk about hypocrisy they claimed to be defending the asteroids with ships that are made form the very asteriods they built their ships from… My advice is to do as I have done today and raise a private contract to hand these morons their arse on platter anumber of times so they get the message to leave you alone… Just make sure that whomever takes up the contract with you that they are in no way related to these gangsters…

That’s why you were ganked.

You admit your crime here, now confess and repent!

Idiot truncating my post does not work, get your facts in order it is their claim i was acting like a bot !

The only criminals here are the gangsters imposing rules on other people … Remember even Al Capone fell foul of the law eventually as well those abusing CCP’s inactions against these morons…

The penalty stands against criminals like this and I will if necessary raise it even higher…

I commited no crime I therefore have nothing to confess up to, and as for repenting that is now in their realm to answer…

I know. It’s not cool, you need to behave.

That’s called a government. Looks like you broke High Sec law and got punished for it. All’s well that ends well.

Ohhhh, I know who you are!

HA!

Idoit again I was not misbehaving at all and it is not in anyway criminal to be responding to a real life crisis rather than playing a game… Take this for an analogy - your daughter suddenly starts choking on something - do you aid her or let her die because of a game you are playing is more important ? You suck at reasoning …

No it is called a criminal act to kill someone in high space no matter the reason that those idiots can think of …

Well, I mean, if your EVE online gameplay is second only to your daughter choking, then you have some messed up priorities in your life. Normal people wouldn’t be too concerned with dumb game ■■■■ if a family member came close to dying.

Exactly i was faced with a real life crisis I attended that crisis I did not have time to go dock somewhere it required my immediate attention and I left my keyboard to do so, in other words i left the game behind me and went to the aid of the person in a crisis situation … This is exactly why I am so insenced with these ganking idiots … Real Life is too important too me to ignore however a game is not in the same league … So your are right a dumb game has NO place in my thoughtss at all and remember this was an analogy though the it was very much a crisis that drew me to leave the keyboard and thus the game to attend to something far more important…

Fair enough, just understand that other players don’t know why you left, and in the circumstances you describe above, that you even did leave as opposed to just not paying attention to the screen.

Unfortunately, real-life circumstances might require you to abandon the game on a moment’s notice. That’s just part of life. It doesn’t make the gankers any worse, because they’re playing the game normally.

The only two times I have ever been ganked was because of outside distractions. One time I passed out and the other was a phone call from the wife. Not mad whatsoever and would never ask for ganking to be removed. However I would like to see added risk for the gankers. Make them do some sort of PVE event to regain standings. The loss of docking rights and no gate jumps until standings are repaired. Use the PVE event as a sort of community service. Like you got when you have broken curfew laws as a kid. This would be far better than banning it all together and the PVE event would only take the gankers out of the hunt for a short bit. Also there should be no loot or isk paid out while they are serving their community service.

if only they would have added that “punishment” that serenity was supposed to have gotten. Put a type of ORE in the game, that can only be mined and not sold or anything else, and make that punishment to raise standings for gankers/griefers

Forcing players to do PvE in a “sandbox” multiplayer game is a pretty bad mechanic. It’s not the same as expecting players to engage in player interaction/PvP in the same type of game, which is to be expected.
