Map clarification: Pilots last 1/2 hour vs jumps

(Added edit notes)
Looking at Maturat right now… Am I right in saying:

1 pilot docked - One pilot has been docked in atleast one station

  • Roughly how many are/where docked

1 pilot in system - One pilot, probably the same has been in the system in any way

  • avg pilots flying around at any one time. So 100 people could fly through the system, but spread out only a few at a time = low avg in system at a time

68 jumps - Said pilot is very dedicated to what they’re doing. This is jumps within the system, not gate jumps?

  • As Andlaust says below, people using gates

unsure about the first 2, though I think they’re separate.

The number of jumps is gate activity. In system travel is a warp, not a jump.

Ah yes, jump gate, warp loc, dock station. Makes sense. Makes the other 2 make less

Looks like not much is happening in the system itself, except that people pass through it when they jump to and from that system to get elsewhere.

Maturat is a standard travel system between the Ice systems around Oppold and Hek.

I don’t put much faith into 3rd party site information. It could be very old data before you get there. I do use the market tools, such as Eve Tycoon, but I still don’t trust it as much as in game information. I stick with the map data available in game. You can see the “Pilots in Dock”, “Pilots in Space”, “Ships Destroyed”, etc… right there on the map. These 3rd party tools, like Eve Tycoon, zkillboard, take 5 mins or more to update.

Have fun!

Okay.

You keep not using perfectly valid tools because feelings and not understanding how the map works.

Makes it easier to hunt you.

Enjoy.

I do use the map in this game, I seem to have a good feel how it works. The third party websites are handy, I put more trust in the game. If you are hunting me, I just feel sorry for you. Come to think of it, no one has blown up my station. It has been 5 months now, makes one feel unwanted.

Have fun!

Don’t ask for it, in the end it’s a mess
