Marauder Rebalance v2.0
Small tweaks to bring two of the Marauders in-line with the others as well as changes to Bastion (new T2 version, skill requirements, now requires fuel). New salvaging bonuses and the ability to run a single command burst module.

• Marauder bonuses (per level): +2.5% Access Difficulty Bonus to Salvagers and Salvage Drones
• Fuel Bay Capacity: +1500m3
Paladin
• -1H slot, +1L slot
Golem
• -1H slot, +1M slot
Bastion Modules
Activating Bastion now requires Strontium Clathrates, reduced by the Tactical Weapon Reconfiguration skill (I-V now required to operate Bastion).
Bastion I Module
These are the changes from the current Bastion I module:
• Blueprint requirements increased (cost ~= 15-25m)
• Requires Tactical Weapon Reconfiguration I
• Consumption Quantity: 130 units
• Fuel usage: 5 units/1 cycle (300 minutes)
Bastion II Module
These are the differences from the new Bastion I module:
• Blueprint requirements TBD (cost ~= 25-50m)
• Powergrid Usage: 150 MW, CPU Usage: 20 tf
• Requires Tactical Weapon Reconfiguration V
• Consumption Quantity: 135 units
• Fuel usage: 10 units/1 cycle (150 minutes)
• Missile Rate of Fire Bonus: -55%
• Turret Rate of Fire Bonus: -55%
• Falloff Bonus: +30%
• Optimal Range Bonus: +30%
• Missile Velocity Bonus: +40%
• Hull/Armor/Shield Resistances: +32.5% omni
• Targeting Range Bonus: +10%
• Sensor Strength Bonus: +125% omni
Opinions vary on that. Just because they’re not being abused to the same extent in Pochven doesn’t mean they couldn’t do with some slight rebalancing - or that some of the various nerfs were too much.
And whether or not you like the fuel aspect, we still need a T2 Bastion module.
Right and in a really good place right now. They are competitive in PvP and some of the best ships for pve. Very, very few other ships in this game can claim something like that
Short of a new T2 line of ships, they could be tweaked slightly with:
• Ability to run one unbonused command module
• -1H/+1M-1L for the Paladin/Golem to bring them in-line with the same number of utility highs and mids/lows as the Kronos and Vargur
• A T2 Bastion module (and at least making Bastion require the Tactical Weapon Reconfiguration skill)
You honestly don’t think any of the above options have some merit? It’s fine if you don’t (you’re certainly entitled to your opinion) - but nothing above is particularly earth-shattering or game-changing.
No, you don’t fly them for their utility if you want a utility Marauder, fly the gal/minm just like with many other ship lines.
There’s no need for this either Bastion doesn’t need to be any stronger than it already is and there is no need to force it to rely on the TWR skill. There is also no need to nerf the T1 to then make a T2 and give it the same stats. Its fine just how it is.
