Marauder/Bastion Changes

Bastion
• The Bastion module is now passive and does not need to be activated. It no longer has a 60-second duration, weapon timer or set velocity penalty.
• Installation provides a base sensor strength bonus of 100% but penalties of -95% remote assistance impedence and -100% remote repair impedence
• Bastion provides 3 different modes on the HUD (similar to Tactical Destroyers). Each mode is slightly more powerful than the previous implementation, with the caveat that only one (1) mode can be active at any given time.

Defense Mode
• Hull/armor/shield damage resistance: 30% bonus to all hull, armor and shield resistances
• Armor repair/Shield boost bonus: 100%
• Capacitor warfare resistance bonus: 25%
• Ship velocity penalty: -50%
• Bastion animation: activates blue (current)

Propulsion Mode
• 25% bonus to ship inertia modifier
• 25% bonus to microwarpdrive/afterburner speed boost and reduction in capacitor use
• 50% bonus to warp speed
• Warp core strength: +1
• Bastion animation: deactivates (current)

Sharpshooter Mode
• Turret/missile rate of fire: -50%
• Falloff bonus: 25%, Optimal range bonus: 25%, Missile velocity bonus: 25%
• Turret tracking speed: 25%, Missile explosion radius: -25%
• Bonus to scan resolution and targeting range: 25%
• Ship velocity penalty: -25%
• Bastion animation: activates red (new)

Marauders are fine as they are and probably in the best they have ever been balance wise.

They still need the 3.5 AU/s warp speed back.

After this it will be just new ship.

No they don’t.

Yes, they do. Why? Because it’s no longer needed with the succession of other nerfs. This would bring them back in-line with the other T2 ships (including Black Ops) with respect to warp speed.

And it nay never happen - but it doesn’t hurt to ask.

because they are just fine with the current speed. They are only slightly weaker on paper than the strongest they have ever been
